NASHVILLE - When veteran receiver Chris Moore decided to sign a free agent deal with the Tennessee Titans, he did so in part because the team is "a welcoming organization.

"At the end of the day, I just wanted to be in an organization that had an established culture that's trying to win ballgames," said Moore. "So, I was just excited when I came on my visit and met with the coaches and felt that energy,"

Upon arrival in Nashville, Moore's preferred jersey number was unavailable, so a decision as to a new one must be made. Still, Moore didn't necessarily think through every aspect of his soon-to-be selection.

"I'm not going to lie – at first, I didn't even think about that," Moore said smiling. "Nick (Westbrook-Ikhine) had No.15, and I, I need another number, and 11 looked smooth on me. So, I was like, that's what I am going to pick.

"And then I realized after, what I did," Moore said.

Despite his failure to realize he had chosen AJ Brown's former Titans jersey number, Moore isn't looking to replace the former start.

"I just want my teammates to know that they can rely on me on the field. "I'm going to be out there doing whatever they need me to do to help them win. It is always fun going into a new building, learning new faces", said Moore. "This is actually a very welcoming organization, people really get to know you, they are interested in who you are as a person. So, it has been a great time."

"At the end of the day personally, it is not really about the numbers, but it's about being with an organization that (wants) to win games. I just love the game of football and that's what I want to do."

Coming off a career year last season, Moore will likely be counted on to step into a supporting role behind Treylon Burks, Westbrook-Ikhine, and Kyle Phillips, though he could be challenged for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart as training camp approaches.

He attributed that jump in production to being on the field more for the Texans.

"I feel like I an opportunity to be on the field and to just continue to get targets, and that's what lead to better numbers," Morre said.

The Titans are hopeful that Moore can continue that upward trajectory this coming season.
