2012 Miss America, and Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler relinquished her crown Saturday night. You remember her as the pageant contestant who mentioned the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers in her acceptance speech. Well, her era ended on the same night Rodgers and the Pack were eliminated from the NFL playoffs. Tonight the San Francisco 49ers and A 23-year-old Brooklyn resident Mallory Hagan moved on as Hagan won the title of Miss America. But Hagan has only lived in Brooklyn for 4 years. She spent the rest of her life in Alabama. Is this like a real life version of the movie “Sweet Home Alabama”? where Reese Witherspoon leaves Alabama for New York, changes her name and creates a new identity for herself (complete with a made up family life, etc.) while hitting it big in the fashion world?
