Now that Jonathan Vilma has been suspended for the entirety of the 2012 NFL season, he has decided to explore his passion for the arts. Vilma will be moving to Germany to play Wilma in The Admiralspalast Theatre’s rendition of “The Flinstones in Viva Rock Vegas”

When asked how he got the gig Vilma said “Well, like, my agent called them and was like, listen since you guys cant pronounce your W’s or whatever, that means that my man Jonathan’s last name in German is the same as the first name of one of the characters in your play. We’ll be on the next flight.”

Vilma’s agent tells it differently. “Jonathan has always had a passion for the arts. He cried on and off for 3 months after leaving New York, because he never had the chance to see Rent. So, I figured, why not take this time off to try and let him try something he loves almost as much as organizing gruesome, injury inducing, bounty rings.

After doing a little digging, we found out that Vilma does have some experience on stage, having starred in The University of Miami’s productions of “No, No, Nannette” and “Cats”. We asked Ernie Von Kegelschmidt, the Admiralpalast’s Theatre Director, if he thought that Vilma would do well with the role of Wilma.

“I am not sure, all i know is that I am very afraid. He sent me an email that said if he doesn’t get to ride Dino The Dinosaur all over Germany during his free time, he will use my hamstrings as floss”

“Germany is the only place that still has dinosaurs, of course I wanna ride it during my free time. I love dinosaurs” said Vilma

The play hits the stage starting this June.
