The Jets’ secondary took a major hit today: DBs Donald Strickland and Lito Sheppard have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Titans.
The Jets listed CBs Lito Sheppard (quad) and Donald Strickland (ankle) as out after the two did not practice yesterday.

Rex Ryan said earlier today that they would work Sheppard out before the game to see if he can play. But that was before the injury report came out and Sheppard was ruled out.
When asked about the possibility of playing without Sheppard and Strickland, Ryan said the Jets would be fine.
“Well if they’re both out, the guys that finished the game for us, Drew Coleman at nickel and (Dwight) Lowery playing corner (will play),” he said. “So, we’ll be fine there. We won’t, obviously, have the depth that we normally have, but those guys can play. Like we say, we have no excuses regardless of who’s up or who’s down. This is a football team.
