The Bears and Packers kick off Week 2 of the NFL season tonight in Lambeau, and this game is already crucial for the Wisconsin faithful.

The Bears, Lions, and Vikings all won their Week 1 games, which means the Packers are sitting alone at the bottom of the NFC North.

I'm not suggesting the Vikings are a threat to anyone, but the Bears and Lions are definite contenders in the NFC.

If the Packers lose this game, they will be 0-2, and two games behind the Bears in the division.

Only 12 percent of teams that started out 0-2 have gone on to make the playoffs in the NFL history.

These statistics are not in the Packers' favor.

After one week, there are a number of NFC teams that could compete for the six playoff spots.

Let's say for the sake of argument the 49ers and Falcons both win their respective divisions. Any of the four teams in the East can win that division, and there are three competing for the North crown.

Many people had Carolina a playoff contender, but they don't appear to be ready yet. The Buccaneers looked really good, and the Saints have Drew Brees so you can't count them out.

That's a lot of depth which means the Packers have no room for error even this early in the season.

The Matchup

The Bears' new-look offense blistered the Colts for 428 yards and 41 points. The Packers have possibly the worst defense in the NFL. You have to give the edge to the Bears' offense here.

Look for Cutler to have a huge game throwing to Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. Forte and Bush will also have big days on the ground like Frank Gore did last week against this defense.

The Bears' defense is aging, but they are a group that has been together a long time and they know where each other is at on the field. We all know what Aaron Rodgers is capable of, but Greg Jennings may not be able to go tonight, and the running game is obsolete in Titletown.

Rodgers had arguably the best season a quarterback has ever had in the NFL last season, but it doesn't look like he's going to be able to replicate those numbers.

This team depends way too heavily on him. With no defense and no rushing attack, defenses have enough film to know how to slow down the aerial attack. I give the Bears the advantage here as well.

The Score

The Packers will play well because they are at home, but the Bears will be too much for them on both sides of the ball. Bears win this game, 27-20
