NFL analyst on Brock Purdy's 49ers-Cardinals performance: 'It's almost impossible to play that perfect'

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy delivered a remarkable performance on Sunday afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals. The 23-year-old player completed an astonishing 95.2% of his passes, connecting on 20 out of 21 attempts for 283 yards and a touchdown. His completion percentage set a new franchise record.

Purdy was near-perfect in the Week 4 outing.

NFL analyst Brian Baldinger lauded the second-year quarterback's performance in the 35-16 victory that elevated the 49ers to a 4-0 record. He drew parallels to the practices from the era of legendary coach Bill Walsh.

"They used to have these Friday practices, and it was like, okay, the goal of practice is for the ball not to hit the ground," Baldinger shared Tuesday morning on 95.7 The Game's "The Morning Roast" show. "That was the whole Friday practice. The ball didn't hit the ground. You got Jerry [Rice] out there. You got all the Hall of Famers out there playing, Brent Jones, whatever. The ball didn't hit the ground."
