Found April 15, 2013 on Fox Sports Southwest:
Joe Flacco made his critics look like fools last season. During a radio interview in April 2012, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback said he thought he was the best quarterback in the NFL. After being mocked for making such a statement, Flacco went ahead and led the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory. Former NFL defensive back Solomon Wilcots said he thinks Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo could be on the verge of following in Flacco's footsteps. "I think the strength is in the quarterback and in the tight end," Wilcots said recently on the NFL Network, according to The Dallas Morning News. "Theres no doubt, I think Tony Romo is one season away from being our next Joe Flacco. This time last year, everyone was very critical of Joe Flacco he cant do this, he cant do that. And thats what you hear about Tony Romo. All he does is he holds every franchise record at the quarterback position for the Dallas Cowboys." As most analysts have pointed out, Wilcots mentio...

2013 NFL Mock Draft Rounds 1-3: Who Will Land With Dallas Cowboys?

With the 2013 NFL Draft just around the corner, it’s time to unveil team-by-team projections for the first three rounds before the three-day festivities kick into swing on April 25.  Here’s part nine of the series on the Dallas Cowboys. Vince Young is a better statistical QB than the Cowboys' Tony Romo.

Anyone who has been following the NFL for the last month has undoubtedly seen the potential resurfacing of Vince Young and his attempt to once again become an NFL quarterback.  To be totally honest I don't see why he hasn't garnered more interest.   When you look at his winning percentage and the quality starts he had it can leave you scratching your head.  ...

Arthur Jones: I’m ‘blessed’ to survive auto accident

Ravens defensive end Arthur Jones found himself in a scary situation Monday, when another driver knocked his car off the road and into a ditch, NFL.com reported. Jones walked away unscathed, and he's understandably appreciative. "I'm happy, I'm healthy, and I'm blessed," Jones said through his agent, Joe Panos, who added his client is "doing great...

Baltimore Ravens: 5 Most Memorable Draft Picks in Team History

The Ravens are not interested in winning the free agency Super Bowl. However, they will sign free agents on the open market to what Newsome calls “the right player at the right price.” You will rarely see the Ravens pay an Albert Haynesworth a $100M contract for example. They will sign a key addition like Vonta Leach in 2011.Newsome makes his money on draft day, where they draft...

Cowboys Interested In Eric Winston

The Dallas Cowboys in my opinion are a solidified offensive line away from making a deep playoff run.  The line is solid right now, but a nice pickup could push the line to really good status. ESPN Dallas is reporting that Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones was on 105.3 The Fan today, and admitted that the team was in exploratory talks with former Chiefs tackle Eric Winston....

Baltimore Ravens Sign Quarterback Caleb Hanie

NFL News: Tuesday the Baltimore Ravens came to terms with free agent quarterback Caleb Hanie, formerly of the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears, to backup franchise quarterback Joe Flacco. The former Coloroado State ilumni has a total of 116 pass attempts in his five-year career. Terms were not disclosed. Fantasy Ramifications:  With Hanie backing up Flacco, his only fantasy value...

Most Obscure Player of 1976: Beasley Reece

Sandwiched between Super Bowl appearances in 1975 and 1977 was the 1976 season, which was much better than people may remember. The Cowboys began the year at 9-1 before finishing at 11-3. However, a 14-12 loss to the Rams in the playoffs ended the season. (If you want to suffer through that game, it is available on YouTube). Many of the stars from the Super Bowl teams were the main...

Report: Lions And Matthew Stafford Working On Long Term Deal

The might be the off-season of $100 million contracts.  Joe Flacco and Tony Romo are finished.  Aaron Rodgers is close to finishing his deal and we can add one name to that list. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the Lions and star quarterback Matthew Stafford on working on a long term deal will probably put him up there with Romo and Flacco. The Lions, who have spent the...
