A good start is what is on the line this time when the New York Giants host the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL season opener. The stakes were much greater the last time the NFC East foes faced off to close the last regular season. New York won to claim the division title en route to the Super Bowl title. Dallas was left out of the postseason. On Wednesday night at MetLife Stadium, the winner will take the early upper hand in the divisional race. For Eli Manning and the Super Bowl champion Giants, this will be a chance to silence the critics and detractors who have sounded off repeatedly after they beat the New England Patriots in Indianapolis in February to claim their second title in five seasons.

Eli Manning owns the Cowboys defense

Dec. 14, 2008 was the last win at Texas Stadium for the Dallas Cowboys franchise. The game was played against Eli Manning and the New York Giants. In that month, December 2008, almost nothing went right for the Cowboys. But, one thing that did was this Sunday Night affair against their bitter rivals. In that game, the Cowboys battered, bruised, and flat-out beat up Manning to the...

Eli Manning Working Hard As Giants Gear Up for Season Opener Against Cowboys

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Eli Manning is no longer living in the shadow of his big brother. Far from it. The New York Giants quarterback enters the kickoff to the NFL season against the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday night as a two-time Super Bowl MVP. New York Jets: Tebow Or Sanchez, Jets' Offense Still Bad

Poor Eli Manning won a Super Bowl and is still the third most talked about quarterback in New York-- his words, not mine.  I would call him better than the other two, but we have yet to find out.The Giants have weapons at almost every position, and if Martellus Bennett ever puts some effort into the games, they will have weapons at every position.Meanwhile, the Jets have a quarterback...

Tony Romo shines as Cowboys defeat Eli Manning’s Giants

Good to be a winner The Tony Romo haters have to hate the way the 2012 NFL season kicked off. For the first time in nine years, the defending Super Bowl champs lost the opener at home. In a much-anticipated NFC East rumble, Romo’s Cowboys out-dueled Eli’s Giants, 24–17. Romo was brilliant. He completed 22 of 29 passes for 307 yards and three touchdowns. Sure, he...

At the risk of making myself look like an idiot, I am going to offer up some predictions for teams I think will be in the playoffs at the end of the 2012 season even before the season begins. I hate pre-season predictions but figured what's the fun in life if you can't make a fool of yourself a few times, so here goes. From the NFC East: The NY football Giants. I am...

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants: Five Things We Learned

Finally NFL football is back! A late rally by Eli Manning and the defending champion New York Giants came up short on this opening Wednesday kickstart to the 2012 campaign. The long awaited divisional matchup began in lackluster fashion, the only touchdown in a yawner of a first half coming on a Tony Romo toss to Kevin Ogletree from ten yards out with 2:33 left before intermission...

Will Philip Rivers Follow Peyton Manning as a Playoff Underachiever?

To say a player underachieved one must first have a clear understanding of what is the prescribed level of achievement. In the NFL this level is Super Bowl wins. The bar has not changed and regardless of the player or his fanatic following it will never change, the goal has always been to win Super Bowls. Using this measure Peyton Manning has underachieved magnificently and Philip...

Live Blog!!

Eli Manning's high school Senior year picture. I'm a little late turning the TV on for the big NFL opener tonight.  I was down at the liquor store trying to find a 30 year old bottle of whiskey I could have for my house in order to impress a bunch of ******* I actually hate when it really comes down to it. If nothing...
