Overshadowed by the Super Bowl yesterday were the comments NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made earlier in the day suggesting that the league might simply eliminate the dreadful Pro Bowl. Mr. Goodell, via a telephone interview on a Super Bowl special Mike and Mike in the morning show on Sunday, stating that the league was going to talk a hard look in the offseason and decide what the future of the Pro Bowl will be for the league.
Personally, I say that the league should eliminate it. It’s dreadful and as much as I thoroughly enjoy the game of football, I rarely watch the glorified scrimmage. This year’s game, if you could even refer to it as a game, was particularly dreadful.
ESPN hosts Mike andMike questioned the commissioner about the future of the game, stating the fact that it has become an embarrassment. Goodell stated that he has heard the complaints and the league will take some sort of action.
