According to NBC Sports Pro Football Talk, The Denver Broncos have put starting wide receiver Eddie Royal on the trading block.
48 hours after The Denver Post would first report that Denver put fellow Broncos wide receiver Brandon Royal on the trading block, Royal is now the second Broncos receiver to be put on the market.
With the return of first-round pick, Demaryius Thomas and the emergence of second-round pick, Eric Decker, it now appears that the Broncos are cleaning house and going in a new direction by attempting to stock up on picks for Lloyd and Royal in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft.
Royal, 25, was drafted by the Broncos 42nd overall out of Virginia Tech in the 2008 NFL Draft.
The 5’10, 185-pound speedster is likely to draw interest due to his versatility as a wide receiver and a return specialist.
For the 2011-12 season, Royal has caught four passes for the Broncos for a mere 51 yards in two games as a starter.
