In the most surprising result from Super Wild Card Weekend, the Green Bay Packers went into Jerry World and dominated the Dallas Cowboys from the opening kickoff. The road for Green Bay doesn't get any easier, though, as it now has to travel across the country to take on the No. 1-seeded San Francisco 49ers coming off their first-round bye.
As we look ahead to the NFC Divisional round matchup, let's target two early bets to jump on before the market moves.
Jordan Love and this Packers offense have been on a tear since Thanksgiving. Green Bay is averaging 28.6 points over its last eight games, and seven of those games went over the closing total. The Packers are also coming off their best offensive performance of the year in which they put up 48 points and 415 yards of offense against the Cowboys.
On the other side of the ball, the 49ers should be able to score at will against a Packers defense that ranks 27th in the NFL in defensive DVOA. Most of San Francisco's starters sat out in Week 18, so the offense is fresh off two straight bye weeks. The 49ers should have no problem reaching 30 points this weekend.
Jones gashed the Cowboys for 118 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries, but the Packers knew Dallas' rushing defense was its biggest weakness on that side of the ball. The 49ers are a different story.
San Francisco gives up the third-fewest rushing yards per game, and it surrendered just two 50-yard rushers over the last nine games of the season. And one of them was Carson Wentz in Week 18 against the 49ers' backups.
Stopping Jones will be job No. 1 for San Fran's defense.
