NFL draft prospect from Nashville invited to Tennessee Titans local Pro Day
Mark Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

As first reported by Justin Melo of Broadway Sports Media and The Draft Network, Northwestern Wildcats wide receiver Cam Johnson has received an invitation from the Tennessee Titans to Local Day.

The Titans regularly host a Pro Day for local draft hopefuls that allows them to showcase their abilities in front of NFL scouts. In 2023, Titans wide receiver Colton Dowell attended the local Pro Day before being draft by Tennessee in the seventh round.

Johnson played his high school football at Brentwood Academy where he won multiple state championships. He then went to Vanderbilt from 2018-2021 and was a Preseason All-SEC wide receiver as a Senior.

For Northwestern in 2023, Johnson had the most productive season of his college football career. He hauled in 54 catches for 715 yards and six touchdowns. That's even more impressive in the Wildcats' offense. Northwestern's leading passer had 1,807 passing yards last season.

At 6'0" and 202 pounds, Johnson had a promising showing at his Pro Day in Evanston. If some of those number translate to his workout with the Titans, he could do himself a lot of favors.

Perhaps Johnson is the next Colton Dowell and will be a hometown hero that Tennessee Titans fans can root for at the next level, whether he's with the hometown team or not.
