NFL vice president for events Frank Supovitz is in Houston for a visit to Reliant Stadium before next month's vote by owners on the sites for the 2016 and 2017 Super Bowls. Miami and San Francisco are in the running for the 2016 game - Super Bowl 50 - and the runner-up will compete with Houston for the game in the following year. The votes are expected at the NFL's spring meeting in Boston on May 20-22. Reliant opened in 2002 and hosted the Super Bowl in 2004. The Texans had a red carpet, cheerleaders and a pep band waiting for Supovitz when he arrived at the stadium on Wednesday afternoon. Supovitz was joined on his tour by Houston businessman Ric Campo, the bid committee's chairman.

Drafting for the Texans; The Positional Outlook

There are many names floating around from analyst on who the Houston Texans might take at #27 overall in next week 2013 NFL Draft. Staying away from names of prospects, we decided to look at the positional needs of the Texans and which ones are the most important for the team’s success. If there is one thing Texans fans are realizing the #27 pick is not as clear as people think...

George Bush hangs with Texans cheerleaders

President George H.W. Bush recently spent some time with the Houston Texans Cheerleaders and a few photos and videos were snapped. The former President was on hand to present roses to the newest selected 2013-2014 Houston Texans Cheerleaders. The President presented each of the 35 girls with a red rose, and also had time to thank the ones who visited him while he was in the hospital...

Houston Texans to Put the 'Jumbo' in Jumbo-tron

Everything is bigger in Texas, right Jerry Jones? That was true a few years back when the Dallas Cowboys opened their new stadium with what was then the largest in-stadium video screen in the world. The record has since been overtaken by a couple different places (one of the racetracks holds it now I think). The record will soon be back in Texas; more precisely it will belong...

Houston Texans: 5 Most Memorable Draft Picks In Franchise History

The Houston Texans are a team quickly on the rise.  No longer can you pencil in the Patriots, Colts, and Steelers as the AFC’s Super Bowl representative. Unlike most teams in the league, the Texans do not have a glaring weakness. They have one of the league’s best rushing attacks as well as defensive units.  To make them even tougher to beat, they have a more than capable...

Houston Texans: Is the Window Quickly Closing?

I seem to have rattled the cage this morning by suggesting that not only did I think the Texans were not a Super Bowl contender as currently constructed, but that they could be in a fight just to make the playoffs if they whiff in this year’s NFL Draft. Personally, I feel like this team had a window and they might have missed it. Do I believe it is permanently closed? Of course...

As you may know, the Houston Texans cheerleaders are my favorite. They’re a fun bunch of ladies who aren’t afraid to Fandango on the Internet between the Monday Fandango was cool and the Monday he was violently ruined. Here they are hanging out with the 41st President of the United States, George H.W. Bush, and his amazing, amazing socks. Look at those things. I bet even Derrick...

Everybody loves cheerleaders.  The NFL has the cream of the crop when it comes to cheerleaders.  The Houston Texans girls love the WWE and made a YouTube video to display their love. George H. W. Bush hung out with the Houston Texans cheerleaders

The 41st President of the United States, George H. W. Bush, presented roses to the 34 women who officially made the Houston Texans cheerleaders squad on Wednesday. Bush, who has been hospitalized due to bronchitis and other symptoms for the past two months in Houston, wore his RG3-like socks. HT: The Big Lead

We haven’t seen George Bush smile this big since thumping Michael Dukakis

President George H.W. Bush made Houston his home after leaving office way back when in 1993 and our 41st Commander-in-Chief was asked the Houston Texans to take moment out of his retirement by unveiling the organization’s new cheerleading squad. Needless to say, he was damn excited about it. Those are some friggin fancy and patriotic socks. But he’s a President, so he can do...

George H.W. Bush might be 88 years old, but the man still has some serious swagger. Check him out with the Houston Texans cheerleaders, rocking his American flag socks.

No Matter what the NFL does, football will always be a violent sport

[caption id="attachment_102" align="alignright" width="150"] Texans RB Arian Foster is one of the players that disapproves the new RB rule.[/caption] Ever since the issue of concussions and player safety became the main topic and talk of football, the NFL has done everything it can to make the game is safer and less dangerous for future generations to...
