Here’s the top performers to target in your race to the waiver wire; week thirteen edition: Get em while you can: Ace Sanders, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: 1% owned in Yahoo! leagues - At 5’7, 173 pounds, Sanders has a unique build for a number two receiver. - Over the past three weeks he’s been targeted 26 times, catching 20 balls for 189 yards. - He’s ahead of Mike Brown on the depth chart, and is skilled enough to make things happen out of little opportunity. Ted Ginn Jr, WR, Carolina Panthers: 17% owned in Yahoo! leagues - He mostly relies on big plays and touchdowns, but Ginn certainly has the ability to deliver. - The Panthers appear headed to the playoffs, and Ginn Jr. is targeted by Newton heavily when left uncovered down field. Charles Clay, TE, Miami Dolphins: 66% owned in Yahoo! leagues - The Miami passing attack has really picked up their play. - Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline have been delivering, which opens up room for Clay. He’s proven to be reliable with shorter passes, nicely complimenting the other two’s play downfield. Ladarius Green, TE, San Diego Chargers: 8% owned in Yahoo! leagues - He’s being groomed to potentially replace Antonio Gates in 2014. - His role continuously increases and he has the ability to succeed with the larger workload. Montee Ball, RB, Denver Broncos: 57% owned in Yahoo! leagues - He’s technically still number two to Knowshon Moreno, butwith 13 carries for 117 yards on Sunday, Ball didn’t fumble. - He was drafted to be the number one guy, and is more skilled than Moreno. As long as he can keep the ball in his hands he could receive a bigger load, and potentially take over.   Next best thing: Alex Smith, QB, Kansas City Chiefs: 62% owned in Yahoo! leagues - He’s had three straight weeks of over 25 fantasy points, and finishes his season against Washington, Oakland, Indianapolis and San Diego. - Favourable matchups for a fantasy playoff run, and a Chiefs playoff push. Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Arizona Cardinals: 58% owned in Yahoo! leagues - Mendenhall got a bigger workload with Andre Ellington injured, picking up 76 yards on the ground. - Ellington’s health is in question for next week, but if out Mendenhall could become a decent play. LeGarrette Blount, RB, New England Patriots: 6% owned in Yahoo! leagues - Steven Ridley and his fumble issues were finally benched, making Blount the primary back on Sunday. - Blount certainly isn’t a great play, but as the number one back in a Patriots offense, has the potential to produce.   Worth a shot: Andre Holmes, WR, Oakland Raiders: 1% owned in Yahoo! leagues - Holmes out performed Rod Streater as the Raiders top receiver. - With Streater still close on the day, and the Raiders being bad, you can’t trust either very much. But Holmescould be a desperate play. Andrew Hawkins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: 1% owned in Yahoo! leagues - It was his first fantasy week above 1.00 points - He is a talent and a big play threat, with Andy Dalton seemingly sharing the ball a bit more of late, Hawkins could become incorporated. Zach Ertz, TE, Philadelphia Eagles: 2% owned in Yahoo! leagues - Ertz played on 38 of 78 snaps on Sunday - Nick Foles and the Eagles are moving towards a two tight end system and have made both Celek and Ertz valuable at times. - He depends on touchdowns for serious value, but is a reliable option. Jaguars fan looking to trade his tickets since they’re “hot” right now (Photo)

You have to love this Craigslist posting.  A Jaguars fan is looking to trade his tickets for this Thursday’s game against the Texans since they’re now “hot” after winning a few games. I’m sure Thursday’s Jaguars (3-9)-Texans (2-10) game will be a barnburner. More like a snoozer.   [ The Buzzer ] Need NFL Tickets? Loading... ZergNet The post...

Jaguars find opponents' comments funny, insulting

Guard Uche Nwaneri has heard all sorts of excuses for opponents losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in recent weeks. They're amusing - and insulting. ''It's ridiculous,'' Nwaneri said Monday. ''Really, are we a high school team and you have to apologize to your city because you lost to us? Come on, man. This is the NFL. Every win is a hard-earned...

Jaguars' Allen Reisner Returns to Practice

Starting Lineups: Can Someone Tell The Jacksonville Jaguars To Stop Winning, Please?

I had just finished enjoying my last sip of  coffee and a smirk had crept onto my 5 o’clock shadow face. It was Sunday afternoon at my Uncle’s house and I had just witnessed my Jacksonville Jaguars win their third game of the season in a 32-28 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The clock just […]The post Starting Lineups: Can Someone Tell The Jacksonville Jaguars To Stop Winning...

Jaguars News and Notes: This Thursday is a Really Big Deal

The skid has to end. After winning three of the past four games they have played, the Jacksonville Jaguars must get a win at home. The three games they have won have all been road victories and while the road is a place where you like to show some strength, home is truly where the advantage and the heart should be. This week, Thursday specifically, the Jaguars strap the helmets on...

5 things to know after Jaguars beat Browns 32-28

They were a joke, an easy punch line for late-night TV talk-show hosts. The Jacksonville Jaguars were the NFL's bottom feeders, almost laughable. They're not so funny looking now. Chad Henne's 20-yard touchdown pass to Cecil Shorts, playing his first game as a pro in his hometown, with 40 seconds left sent the Jaguars to their third win in four games, 32-28 on Sunday...

Jags players irked by lack of respect from opponents

Now that they’ve won three of the last four games, the Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t a joke any longer. Unless you listen to the some of the comments from players on the teams they’ve beaten. Losing to the Jaguars is apparently the worst thing they’ve experienced in their careers. That has some Jaguars players amused -- and a little miffed, too. "It’s not annoying...
