But maybe now they have his attention?

Should the Browns cut bait on the Brandon Weeden Experience? A WFNY Roundtable

Scott: So… Was that the last start for Brandon Weeden? Should it be his last start? TD: They cannot trot him out there at home again. It will be a the ugliest of ugly scenes if they do so. My guess is they start him at KC, let him hang himself with more bad QB play on the road against one of the best defenses in the league, and prepare Campbell to start in two weeks against...

Browns Coach Rob Chudzinski May Bench Brandon Weeden

According to NFL.com, Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski has not ruled out making a change at quarterback or any other position.  The Browns are 0-2 since Brian Hoyer went down and Weeden returned as the starter.  The Browns appeared to be a rejuvenated team with Hoyer at QB, winning three straight and found themselves atop the AFC North. The morale of the team seems to have gone...

Browns Sticking With Brandon Weeden For Another Week, But A QB Change Is Possible

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Browns will QB Brandon Weeden against the Chiefs next weekend. La Canfora adds that Cleveland did consider making a change at quarterback, but he wouldn’t be surprised to see Jason Campbell get a shot at some point in the near future. HC Rob Chudzinksi told reporters following Sunday’s loss that they are considering possible...

Week Seven: Browns vs Packers Open Thread

Brandon Weeden and the Browns will look to bounce from last week’s frustrating loss when they take the field against the Packers in Green Bay. This is our first Sunday with the Browns in the late afternoon slot. I’m not sure how I feel about this game. On one hand, the Packers are fairly beat up and are missing quite a few receivers. On the other hand, they still have Aaron...

NFL News: Browns considering QB change

Head coach Rob Chudzinski said during his Monday press conference that the coaching staff will look at “all positions. “I’ll stick with our process we’ve had throughout.” said Chudzinski. “It’s about evaluating the last game and we’ll talk as a staff later on this afternoon and we’ll basically put the guys at all positions who will give us the best opportunity to...

Browns coach Rob Chudzinski will consider quarterback change

Browns coach Rob Chudzinski conceded a change at quarterback will be discussed Monday afternoon but it was hard to gauge whether he was ready to make a move away from Brandon Weeden. “We’ll talk as a staff later on this afternoon” the coach said. “We’ll basically put the guys at all positions who give us the best opportunity to win.” Pressed again if a change at quarterback...

Browns are bad and boring in loss to Packers

Yawn. Every NFL fan’s worst nightmare is reality once again in Cleveland. The team is not only bad, but a deadly combination of bad and boring. That’s my takeaway from Green Bay as the Browns failed to do nearly anything offensively all day. The Browns end up falling to the Packers 31 to 13. It wasn’t just the Brandon Weeden-led offense. The defense started the day off poorly...

Turner has seen better QBs throw worse interceptions than Weeden

These words actually left our mouth the other day: "The Browns' season went down with Brian Hoyer." We weren't kidding either. After leading Cleveland to two straight wins Hoyer suffered a torn ACL against the Bills in Week 5 paving the way for the return of Brandon Weeden the team's 2012 first-round pick who has been to put it kindly underwhelming. In last...

NFL exec fined Ndamukong Suh to 'get his attention'

If the first six didn’t work, the NFL tried to send Ndamukong Suh a message by fining him a seventh time this week. Suh was docked $31,500 for a questionable hit on Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden during last week’s game. The fine was Suh’s second this season. He was also forced to pay $100,000 earlier this year after throwing a low block on Vikings center John Sullivan....

Scott Raab on the Browns, Brandon Weeden and Robert Redford’s movie career – WFNY Podcast – 2013-10-21

This week we talked about the Browns’ loss to the Packers, but we branched out a bit. We talked about Robert Redford, movie criticism and passing pop culture down generationally. We also talked about Scott Raab coming home to speak at Cleveland State and also the Happy Dog on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM with Zac Jackson as well. Here’s the email I sent to Scott in anticipation...

What we think the Browns will do against the Packers today (Week 7)

Cleveland Browns at Green Bay Packers October 20, 2013 Brian  Packers 17 Browns 13 I'm thinking the Browns defense stiffens up, but not convinced that Brandon Weeden and the offense plays like more than stiffs. Tom  Packers 17 Browns 10 Long day for the defense as the offense cannot stay on the...

Ol’ Bag of Donuts: Survival of the Fittest

Always trying to put a positive spin on things, Chris and Adam breakdown the significance of the rash of Packers injuries heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Browns and give some schematic suggestions for Green Bay to survive. The guys also offer up a game plan for “older than Rodgers” Brandon Weeden and yes, the ghost of Matt Leinart returns! Listen using the player...

5 Reasons Why Cleveland is a Tough Matchup for the Packers

Despite all the injuries that have decimated their roster the past couple weeks, the 3-2 Packers certainly deserve to be favorites going into Sunday's matchup with the Browns at Lambeau Field. But ten point favorites? That may be a bit much. Certainly the Packers have a decided advantage at the most important position on the field with quarterback Aaron Rodgers going up against...

Report: NFL invites Ndamukong Suh to visit league offices again

Even though many of us thought the NFL shouldn't have punished Ndamukong Suh for his hit last week on Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden (as seen in the above photo) he was fined $31500 anyway. Since he already was fined $100000 for an illegal block on Vikings center John Sullivan earlier this season the league has invited Suh to New York to talk face-to-face about his latest...
