While the Chicago Bears may be 3-1 and tied for first in their division, I’m not ready to call them the best in the NFC North yet. COming off a blowout win on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys there is plenty of reason for optimism, but also for doubt as well.
Now I can’t be too harsh on the Bears offense, as their top RB Matt Forte has been dealing with an ankle injury. Forte came back on Monday, and while he didn’t look as explosive as his usual self, he still did enough to make this Bears offense versatile. Through 4 games Jay Cutler has been good and bad at times, with some controversy along the way. While I still don’t believe Cutler has proved himself as an elite QB, who you can rely upon to win the big games, I have never denied his arm strength or toughness. Behind an offensive line that seems to allow pressure on every play. It is that same O-line that Cutler has a problem with, after shoving J’Marcus Webb on national television. The best player on this team...
BEST OF MAXIM
When lose or draw, you can bet on their being some drama coming out of a nationally televised Chicago Bears game.
As usual it involves Jay Cutler and his inability to play nice with others.

Was anyone else hoping that Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice was going to run up and tackle quarterback Jay Cutler from behind and start unloading punches on his face? One can dream, can’t he?
Is there a bigger douche in the league than Cutler? There is a reason why he has never become an elite quarterback, his freaking attitude and mental stability. We know...
Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice apparently wanted to talk to his quarterback Jay Cutler about smoothing out the communcations between the two last night. Cutler was his normal asshole...

When the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys each take a long look into the mirror the image they may see is one of the team they both are playing against Monday night. Both teams opened the season with impressive wins. Both teams laid eggs in week two losses. Both teams looked lethargic in week three wins. Both teams have a quarterback constantly under scrutiny from the media.This...
Here are the Week Five Bears power rankings from various sites around the web:
ESPN: #9 (Last week: #11)
Analysis, “Cutler-to-Marshall and an opportunistic defense shined Monday night. When the Bears look good, they look oh so good.”
NFL.com: #6 (Last week: #9)
Analysis, “If Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall can play like they did in a blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys...
For at least one night, Cutler was not the focus nor his offfensive lineman-slapping ways. The Chicago Bears defense was front and center on this night, creating 5 turnovers and was leading their team in scoring up until the last major Bears drive of the night which, of course, was started by an interception. Bears Offense 20, Bears Defense 14. Overall, neither team ever really...
After looking lethargic in a 23-6 win over the St. Louis Rams in Week 3, the Chicago Bears had six days to hear criticism on whether or not they can notch a win over a quality team.Monday night the Bears answered the question by waltzing into Cowboys Stadium and throttling the Dallas Cowboys 34-18, to improve to 3-1 on the season. The offense needed a half to get going, but the defense...
Monday night in "Big D" proved to be rather unpleasant for the host Dallas Cowboys as they welcomed in the NFC North's Chicago Bears. Billed as the battle of the two "almost elite" quarterbacks, the Monday night matchup featured Chicago's controversial Jay Cutler and his revamped receiving corps against the Cowboys' charismatic Tony Romo and his promising...
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears took advantage of five Dallas turnovers in thrashing the Cowboys 34-18 Monday night at Cowboys Stadium. The Bears (3-1) returned two interceptions off Dallas quarterback Tony Romo for touchdowns in winning their second consecutive game to remain tied with Minnesota atop the NFC North. Romo threw a career-high five picks. The...
Monday night was supposed to be a battle between two quarterbacks out to prove they were better than what they have shown. Jay Cutler took a step in the right direction and Tony Romo again crumbled under the pressure.
The Bears defense was flat-out dominating in Monday night's 34-18 victory, intercepting Romo five times, with two being returned for touchdowns.
Coming off a dominating performance in prime time, the Chicago Bears defense could be in for another big effort against a team that might have the worst offense in the NFL.
The visiting Bears look for a third consecutive victory as they face the offensively challenged Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Though Chicago's offense has been inconsistent in 2012, its defense has a league...
[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="600"] We are projecting a solid night from Brandon Marshall even against a difficult Dallas secondary.[/caption]
It was an exciting Sunday in the National Football League but thankfully we still have one game left on the week four schedule as the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys meet tonight in Dallas to close...
