He came, he saw, he left deal-less.
Free agent tight end Fred Davis came into Buffalo for a visit on Thursday afternoon, and left after speaking with media without a contract.
He said that he will meet with the Jets on Friday as planned, and wants to evaluate all options before making a final decision on his future.
Davis meet with the Bills twice over the past week, on Sunday in D.C. and Thursday in Orchard Park. History tells us that Davis leaving sans contract likely means that he won’t be returning to Buffalo unless it’s as an opponent. However, stranger things have happened see Dwan Edwards in 2010. Then again, he never really left Buffalo.
As it stands, Manny Lawson remains Buffalo’s only free agent signing this offseason.
