Fox Sports:
The top players from the NFC take on the top talent in the AFC in the NFL Pro Bowl from Honolulu, Hawaii. The players for this annual contest are selected by fans, coaches and fellow competitors with each group accounting for one-third of the votes. This will be the third consecutive year that the game will be played the week prior to the Super Bowl, meaning that players from the two Super Bowl teams will not participate. Last year's game was a high scoring affair with the NFC eventually prevailing, 55-41. High scores are a common occurrence in this game since many of the rules that are in effect in the regular season are not utilized during this game in order to protect players from injuries. Some of the key rules changes include no blitzing and there is no penalty for intentional grounding, giving quarterbacks better opportunities to score. With last year's win, the NFC now holds a one game advantage in the series, 21-20. The 2011 MVP was Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall, who played havoc with the AFC by recording six tackles and one interception and he also recovered a fumble returning it 34 yards for a touchdown.
