The Cleveland Browns will shut down running back Trent Richardson until August out of fear that the second-year workhorse could develop a stress fracture in his currently injured leg, per ESPNCleveland’s Will Burge. Story coming soon — Will Burge (@WillBurge) June 4, 2013 Richardson was held out of Organized Team Activities with the shin strain, but later stated that the injury was “no biggie” and he could be on the field with his team if not for the precautionary measures taken by the coaching and training staff. “It’s terrible [sitting out],” said Richardson, ”But I know in my mind, well, everybody knows that it’s not going to be near like last year, being hurt and injured. Injury-prone is not going to be me. And I just can’t wait to get up back and running.” During his rookie campaign, Richardson battled a variety of injuries, including a knee injury in the preseason, an ankle injury and bruised ribs which hampered much of his explosiveness. He carried the ball 267 times, tallying 950 yards and 11 touchdowns, adding 51 receptions for 367 yards and a touchdown.  With the Browns starting their mandatory three-day minicamp on Tuesday, reports out of Berea have Richardson watching from the perch of a stationary bicycle.
