Found March 16, 2013 on Waiting For Next Year:
FoxSports.com is reporting free agent cornerback Brent Grimes made a visit to Browns’ headquarters in Berea this past week. UFA #Falcons CB Brent Grimes visits Cleveland,@foxsports.com has learned (sorry if someone else reported this) — Alex Marvez (@alexmarvez) March 16, 2013 Grimes played in only one game last year due to a torn Achilles’ tendon, but started in 28 games for the Falcons the prior two years. Grimes also paid a visit to the high spending Dolphins this past week and it is believed that the Falcons are still trying to retain his services. When healthy in 2011, Grimes was 10th among corners in success rate. 1 Grimes along with the Packers’ Sean Smith remain the top options left for the Browns to replace Sheldon Brown as a starter opposite Joe Haden. But with Smith receiving a second round tender from Green Bay, Grimes is the Browns’ last real chance to make a splash in the cornerback market.
