Saints-quarterback-drew
Five weeks are in the books for the NFL regular season, and there are some interesting trends occurring. New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees is putting up some very strong numbers once again this year, in spite of the Saints struggles. One unlikely division has emerged as the toughest so far this season. A veteran receiver is poised for a very strong season with a rookie quarterback and an unlikely quarterback was the last starter to throw a pick in 2012.Drew Brees leads all quarterbacks with 14 touchdowns so far this season, despite the Saints having a 1-4 record. Brees, along with Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford all threw for over 5,000 yards last season. Brees set the single season passing yardage record, throwing for 5,476 yards. This season, he is on pace to break his own record. Only Eli Manning is the other quarterback on pace to eclipse the 5,000 yard mark. He nearly achieved the feat last year, finishing with 4,933 yards.Kevin Kolb despite only starting four games, leads all qu...

NFL Week 5 – Things That Caught My Eye

Who Dat In The Record Books (again)??!! I think this column HAS to start with the New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees went into this game hoping to guide his team to their first W and hoping to break a 52 year old record, a record that my dad used to tell me was unbreakable but I’ll get that in a minute. I’ll give a slow clap to the Commish for allowing a number of currently suspended...

Never in my million years as a Saints fan did I ever imagine I’d tear up watching my team win a regular season game.
