Waiting For Next Year:
The injury news is better for the Cleveland Browns this week. OLB Jabaal Sheard is practicing today, and head coach Rob Chudzinski said he was very close to being able to play last Sunday. The team expects Sheard should be able to play in Green Bay on Sunday barring any setbacks.
Also returning to practice was guard Jason Pinkston who was injured in the second preseason game against the Lions. Pinkston was placed on the injured reserve list, meaning the earliest he would be available to play would be week eight. Pinkston’s injury came in his first game action since a blood clot was discovered in his lung early last season, wiping out his year.
Defensive lineman Billy Winn was held out again from practicing.

It’s a confusing time to be a Browns fan. I guess it’s always a confusing time to be a Browns fan, but this is a conundrum almost unlike any other since 1999. The Cleveland Browns might not be traditional trailblazers, but they do find new and interesting ways to confuse their fans. The Cleveland Browns are in contention right now, but they’re really not. Their record says...
Cleveland Browns LB Jabaal Sheard is working his way back into the defensive pass rushing rotation after the third-year pro sprained his knee in the Sept. 22 win at Minnesota, a game in which he recorded a sack and fumble recovery. Up until that point, the biggest question was if Sheard could make the transition from defensive end to linebacker, but his performance against the Vikings...
Brandon Weeden just isn’t cutting it in Cleveland in the minds of some fans.
The Browns seemed to have some semblance of a shot this season, but one fan has grown impatient with the team’s quarterback, so that fan has taken to the best place to find whatever random thing you are looking for — Craigslist — in search of a new signal caller. Weeden has a 71.4 passer rating and...
Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden has been hurt, benched, redeemed, and thrown back into the gutter. However, his teammates say they are behind him all the way and that they feel he can get the team to the playoffs.
Joe Thomas grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin. He was a star athlete at Brookfield Central High School, lettering in football, basketball and track. Thomas was a state champion in the shot put and discuss in high school, in addition to being all everything in football.
Growing up a Green Bay Packers fan, Thomas was 12 years old when Brett Favre and Reggie White led the team to a Super...
It isn't getting any better for Brandon Weeden, especially after he launched this pass last week against the Lions:
The Cleveland Browns were having a bit of a renaissance when Brian Hoyer took over, but the offense is inept, once again, now that Weeden is back in a starting role. The team is back in the Tanking for Teddy sweepstakes, but one fan in the Cleveland area is willing...
Browns QB Brandon Weeden hasn’t been playing high level football. He may have had the ugliest interception of the season when he tried to backhand a pass against Detroit that eventually resulted in a TD. That was one of two interceptions on the day for Weeden. Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that that doesn’t open the door for backup Jason Campbell.
It appeared that the Browns had given up on the 2013 season after an 0-2 start and trading RB Trent Richardson to the Colts. Then Brian Hoyer came along and led the Browns to consecutive wins before he was injured in a Thursday night game vs. the Bills. Brandon Weeden, who was the starter, came in the game and led the Browns to victory and first place in the AFC North.
A disgruntled Clevland Browns fan recently posted a job on Craigslist: for a new starting QB.
Have you played pro football?" asks the ad that 22-year-old Seth Pae, a graduate student at DePaul, took credit for posting. "College ball? High school? Pee-wee?
"Have you played Madden before? Do you know some of the rules of football? If yes, keep...
The Cleveland Browns recently signed wide receiver Charles Johnson off the Green Bay Packers practice squad but that does not mean that he will see the field this season.
Johnson was found to have a torn ACL during an intro physical. He will be placed on the reserve/non-football injury list. The seventh-round rookie sprained his MCL in June.
Wisconsin native Joe Thomas is a key part of a rebuilding effort that has Cleveland off to a 3-3 start. Thomas, a six-time Pro Bowler, is one of the NFL's premier left tackles. He talks about the rise of the Browns and a mysterious matchup on Sunday against the team he grew up loving.
You’ll notice I went a little heavy this morning with Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs screencaps. These two teams are about as…
