Some positive news from today’s Browns practice: cornerback Buster Skrine and wide receiver Josh Cooper each saw increased reps as they battle their respective injuries. Skrine (concussion) was a limited participant Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday. Cooper (knee) was a full participant after being limited the day before. In other notable injury news, Joe Haden (olbique) and Ahytba Rubin (calf/back) both remained limited participants in Thursday’s agenda. Defensive backs and special team guys Dmitri Patterson (ankle) and Ray Ventrone (calf) both did not practice again. I’m certain we’ll hear more as the week continues, as Haden and Rubin will likely be the focus of more questions as Sunday’s Steelers game approaches. • Letter to Jimmy Haslam, I have been a lifelong Browns fan and with that have seen many changes, some for the good, some, well let's just say, not so good. The one thing I do know as a fan from this Ohio area is that when you keep hiring the wrong head coaches, things go wrong real quick around here, and what I telling you is since '99 this franchise has consistently chosen the wrong coach each and every time. What's more is that fans like myself knew they were wrong the moment they were hired. Please end this drought of inexpierenced "learn on the job" coaches, and bring in a veteran who will add some stability to an already dwindling fan base, and at the same time will have the attention of the team for his performance at this NFL level. If it were my investment, there is no coach I would even consider besides Bill Cowher. Starting with the fact he was a former Browns player and assistant coach, plus his (11) playoff game victories, as well as a Super Bowl win. His style of coaching is exactly what has been missing with each of the past and present head coaches that have been hired here, these guys have no clue as to what it takes to add attitude and controled aggression to a football team, you look at each of the Steeler teams under Cowher and you will see the confidence level his teams had were head and shoulders above anything seen from our teams. Coach Cowher was given next to nothing in free agent players, plus he was normally drafting late ,yet he was always able to find players at any round to add to his team with the ability to fill in for any injured starters, he also had his share of undrafted free agents, like James Harrison, that has been a force for many years. Jimmy, don't let this opportunity get past you, I'm sure being part of that winning franchise you know better than most how much he would add to our team immediatley. I will be the first to purchase season tickets the day you hire him. That's a promise!!!

Johnson Bademosi named Browns’ fourth captain

When Buster Skrine went down with a concussion this past weekend while filling in for Joe Haden, the Browns had to turn to the bench once again. Johnson Bademosi (every color commentator’s worst nightmare) was the man up and he did pretty well. Bademosi made the team as an undrafted player from Stanford this season because he could play special teams. Now, he’s been named the...

Report: Brandon Weeden ranks second in passes dropped

Via Terry Pluto’s great Facebook page, we received word of a neat Pro Football Focus study from Wednesday that analyzed dropped passes by NFL quarterbacks through 11 weeks of the season. Surprise, surprise who ranks in the top two? Just one behind Detroit’s Matthew Stafford, Browns rookie Brandon Weeden has had 32 of his passes dropped this year, according to the study. These...

Cleveland Browns Film Room: Game 10, Under Pressure

Like we did last year before it became fashionable, we’ll take a seat each week in our very own WFNY Browns film room and break down a little tape from the game, with a specific focus.  Do enjoy. The Browns did something really positive in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, and I wanted to focus on that this week. The defense was able to sack Romo seven times. That’s a nice number...

NFL News: Browns’ TJ Ward fined $25,000 as “repeat offender”

Cleveland Browns strong safety TJ Ward officially has $25,000 less to his name as the NFL levied a fine against the third-year safety for a hit which occurred in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys. When Ward put the finishing touch on an attempted pass to Cowboys wide receiver Kevin Ogletree, the team was handed a 15-yard penalty for what was deemed a hit...

Browns handing out inflatable white flags to fans for Pittsburgh game

You can’t make these things up. Apparently the Browns are going to be handing out inflatable white flags with the Browns helmet on them for Sunday’s game. Seriously. White flags. Did someone not think this through? Here is a picture of Chomps with the giveaway. The caption was added by @FakePatShurmur on twitter- Some jokes write themselves. Joe Haden's return to secondary likely for Browns

Joe Haden is practicing for the Browns, who hope the cornerback will be able to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The only Browns not participating Friday are defensive backs Dmitri Patterson and Ray Ventrone. Patterson has missed five games with an ankle injury and Ventrone has a calf problem. Having Haden back would be quite welcome for Cleveland, 0-5 this year when the cornerback...

Steelers vs. Browns Reader Survey

It’s a holiday so this is a bit late, but it’s time to get your predictions on record. This is going to be interesting by the end of the season to see just how the fanbase ends up dealing with reality or realizing the reality of the Browns’ situation. With that in mind, please give me what you think will happen this weekend against the hated Steelers.

Browns' safety Ward upset over fine for hit

Browns safety T.J. Ward is appealing a $25,000 fine for a hit he maintains was legal under the NFL's rules on helmet-to-helmet contact. Ward received a letter from the league on Wednesday informing him of the penalty for hitting Dallas wide receiver Kevin Ogletree on Sunday. Ward said replays conclusively show he did not touch any part of Ogletree's head. Ward was called...

The Browns almost beat the Cowboys last week, too bad you don't get wins for almost in the NFL. Week 12 preview.

The Browns are bad and the last two weeks we've found out how bad the Cowboys are too.  Browns fans shouldn't get too excited about the game last week in Dallas, the Cowboys are not a good football team. After going a red hot 13-1 in week 11, I went 2-1 on Thanksgiving day.  For the season that makes it 106-57.  I'm still in striking distance of .750 for the season...

Cleveland Browns to hand out "White Flags"

As if the Browns weren't enough of an embarrassment to the people of Cleveland, their latest idea is even is worse than usual. Pictures above, someone thought it'd be a good idea to hand out these white flags at this week's game against the rival Steelers. Maybe they don't know the universal meaning of "waiving the white flag"....

WFNY Tickets: Browns-Steelers ticket prices dropping this week

Link : Cleveland Browns Tickets The Cleveland Browns are 2-8, but it’s arguable that they’ve been playing some of their most competitive football in years. And that’s with an offense with mostly rookie starters, backed by Brandon Weeden, Trent Richardson and Josh Gordon. Combine that all with a divisional matchup against the Ben Roethlisberger-less Pittsburgh Steelers, and...

Cleveland Browns Set To Wave The White Flag...Literally

Since 1975, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ faithful have gained national notoriety by flailing their “terrible towels” in the air at Steelers home games. Clearly not wanting to be outdone, the Cleveland Browns will also be rolling out their own version of this little gimmick. When the Steelers head to the rock n’ rock capital of the world this Sunday, the raucous Cleveland Dawg...
