When the Chicago Bears signed veteran quarterback Jason Campbell to a one-year deal the thought process was that he could fill in comfortably if starter Jay Cutler had to go-on-the-mend.

After the severe beating that the Bear’s offensive line subjected Campbell to, it could be he that needs relief as Cutler is on his way back after clearing tests on Saturday by an independent neurologist.

Given they both suffered similar knee injuries, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson intends to get in contact with Bulls point guard Derrick Rose to lend his support.

Bears Injury Report: Jay Cutler Practicing, Could Start Sunday

Jay Cutler missed Monday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers and the Bears lost.  Chicago can't afford for Cutler to miss much more time.  This is not to say back-up quarterback Jason Campbell caused the team to lose - the Bears' defense can take credit for that - but Chicago needs as much offensive help as they can get.  They may get that this weekend as...

Chicago Bears back on track

The Chicago Bears got back on track Sunday with a 28 – 10 win over the Vikings. After losing two weeks in a row, all units of the Bears showed solid coordination and smooth execution. Cutler’s return clearly had a positive impact. The offensive line only gave up one sack and was well synchronized on the big plays. Cutler connected with Marshall early, but both Bush and Bennett...

Harvin returns to practice for Vikings, sort of

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. After missing practice all week, Minnesota Vikings leading receiver Percy Harvin returned briefly Friday -- but only for stretching ahead of Sunday's important NFC North game at Chicago. Harvin, who leads Minnesota and is tied for eighth in the league with 62 catches, has been out since Nov. 4 including last week's bye week -- with a badly sprained ankle...

Harvin out vs. Bears; won't travel to Chicago

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings have declared wide receiver Percy Harvin out of Sunday's game at Chicago because of his sprained left ankle. Harvin was listed doubtful on Friday after missing another week of practice, and the team downgraded him to out on the injury report Saturday while deciding not to take him on the trip so he can continue to rest. Harvin...

Matt Forte Questionable For Week 13

Bears' running back Matt Forte is questionable for Sunday's game against Seattle with a right ankle injury suffered against Minnesota.Fantasy Spin:It's the same ankle where he suffered an ankle sprain earlier this season. Michael Bush scored twice from in close against Minnesota and would get the majority of the workload if Forte can play.

Bears QB Cutler's status uncertain

The status of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler going into the weekend remains uncertain because of a concussion, although coach Lovie Smith said Friday he is optimistic about Cutler's return. Cutler, who missed Monday night's 32-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, is listed as questionable against the Minnesota Vikings. Whether he plays in Sunday's game at Soldier...

Simply put, the Vikings dropped the ball

The Minnesota Vikings were coming off their bye week refreshed and positive heading into the final stretch of the season, while the Chicago Bears were recovering from an embarrassing Monday night loss and wondering whether quarterback Jay Cutler would be in the lineup. Then, Minnesota went dormant in the first half of Sunday's NFC North showdown at Chicago and the Bears took...

Bears lose Hester, Forte and Louis in win over Vikings

The Chicago Bears 28-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings came with a price as running back Matt Forte left the field with an ankle injury, receiver Devin Hester suffered a concussion and right guard Lance Louis was sidelined with a knee injury. Forte limped off the field in the third quarter with an ankle injury after his leg appeared to get caught under a pile of Vikings defenders...

Cutty Buddy

Coming off their worst loss of the season in Week 10 to the San Francisco 49ers the Chicago Bears needed a win badly. They got it today as quarterback Jay Cutler returned from a concussion to lead the now leaders of the NFC North to an 8-3 record trampling the Minnesota Vikings. Not only did The post Cutty Buddy appeared first on No Coast Bias.

Bears jump on Vikings early in win

The Chicago Bears will be just fine if they keep playing like this - and don't lose any more players to injuries. Jay Cutler threw for 188 yards and a touchdown after missing a game because of a concussion, and the Chicago Bears broke it open early in a 28-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Injuries to Devin Hester, Matt Forte and Charles Tillman, however, tempered...

Michael Bush Collects Two TDs vs. Vikings

Bears running back Michael Bush scored two touchdowns Sunday against the Vikings and might find himself with a larger role going forward if Matt Forte (ankle) has to miss time with his latest injury.Fantasy Spin:Forte left Sunday's game versus Minnesota after injuring the same ankle he sprained earlier this season. Prior to Sunday, Bush hadn't crossed the goal line since Week 3.

Questionable calls mark Week 12

Heading into Week 12, there were a near-record number of close games decided by eight points or fewer. Those 85 games in the first 11 weeks of the season were the second-most ever, just behind the 1988 season (86 games decided by a possession or less during the first 11 weeks). This week, there were nine games that fall into that category, two that were decided in overtime. This...
