The buffalo wings, chips and dip are ready, now it's time for some NFL football. Week one of the NFL season starts with a bang and finishes with a good ole' AFC West showdown. Week one doesn't disappoint, but many bettors believe the first week is always the hardest to pick. We are told to never believe in the preseason, but being unable to score a touchdown until week four of the preseason in unacceptable. Isn't it Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow? There are a number of injury concerns heading into the weekend. Will Trent Richardson, Adrian Peterson, Maurice Jones-Drew, or Marshawn Lynch play? Understanding who is injured and how that injury affects a team is a key part to successful betting. Be sure to look at who is the backup and who the team can rely on to take that key players spot if he does not suit up. Many focus on key players such as, Adrian Peterson, but if a key offensive lineman is missing it could be the same result, or the quarterback could suffer. Buffalo Bills at New York Jets (-1.5) If you took this bet when the lines first came out you would be pretty happy with the Buffalo Bills +5.5. This week expect to hear nothing but the Jets. The Jets are in trouble, they can't score, and how Buffalo will beat them. Yes, not scoring a touchdown by either Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow during the preseason is inexcusable, but if you are going to judge the Jets by the preseason, then you better judge the Bills.
