In honor of the NCAA Lacrosse Championships that were played over the weekend in Philadelphia, let’s look at NFL players that have a lacrosse background. There are actually dozens of former NFL players that played lacrosse at the collegiate level or even in high school, but there are only a few current players that played in college prior to their time in the NFL Two of the current players that played college lacrosse are Chris Hogan and Steven Hauschka. Hogan is a wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills.  He signed with the Bills in 2012, after stints on the practice squad of the San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants and Miami Dolphins. In his career, Hogan has caught 51 receptions for 509 yards and four touchdowns.  The former undrafted free agent appeared in 16 games in 2013 and 2014.  Last season was a breakout season for the 6-foot-1 pass catcher as he recorded 426 yards on 41 catches and four touchdowns.
