New York Giants @ Green Bay Packers
In terms of offensive production, this is probably the marquee game of the weekend with the potent Giants visiting the even more potent Packers. This is a rematch of the December 4thgame in which the Packers won 38-35, which included a couple of controversial calls that went Green Bay’s way. The Giants have probably been chomping at the bit to get another crack at the Packers, and now that chance is upon them. It will be much tougher to try to pull the upset at Lambeau Field however, as the Packers are nearly perfect there in the playoffs. This will be the first playoff game in a while at Lambeau, as last year’s Packers had to make their Super Bowl run on the road as a wildcard team.
If there’s one quarterback in the playoffs that won’t shy away from the bright lights and big stage in a matchup against Aaron Rodgers, it’s Eli Manning. Manning is no stranger to the 4thquarter comeback himself, and it was only a few short years ago that he ...

Being both a big mouth and a football-obsessed member of the media for 18 years, I have spent a fair amount of time trying to figure things out in the NFL. Over 3,100 episodes of the Bob and Dan show since 1999 on Sportsradio 1310 the Ticket on Dallas airwaves at three hours per show has put us dangerously close to the Malcolm Gladwell "10,000" hour rule. That rule argues...
It was a worst-case scenario for State Farm Insurance last night on national television. How many times did the State Farm commercial featuring Aaron Rodgers run? 10? 14? So that, combined with America’s jealousy towards Rodgers, made for some serious NSFW action on Twitter last night for a lily white guy who isn’t used to receiving the f-bomb treatment. Our editors scoped out...
If you’re going to adopt an elaborate celebration, don’t be surprised, or offended, if it gets thrown back in your face. That’s what Giants linebacker Michael Boley did after sacking Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers Sunday. Call it the belt celebration or discount double check, because Boley did the Rodgers move after recording a sack right before halftime, and also in the...
GREEN BAY — Aaron Rodgers had a nearly perfect season as the Super Bowl champion Packers nearly went undefeated. Just as Tom Brady had a nearly perfect season once, too.
The 15-1 Green Bay Packers (who peaked in September-November) have indeed been exited from the NFL Playoffs by the New York Giants (who are peaking now), and Hakeem Nicks was indeed wide open on an end-of-half Hail Mary.
So much for the Green Bay dynasty; as former GM Ron Wolf would say, the 2011 Packers proved to be just a fart in the wind.
Deal with it.
The silver lining is...
If today’s game is anything like the Dec 4th meeting between these two clubs (or yesterday’s Niners-Saints game) make you have 911 on your speed dial. It won’t be for the faint of heart.
Our staff has some unique angles on the big showdown in Green Bay…..
Rich Resch: If Eli Manning and the Giants’ pass rush play their A-game…yada yada yada. You know the deal by now...
0: The number of playoff games won by Caleb Hanie and Aaron Rodgers combined. 0 %: The worth of the Packers having gone 15-1 and winning the NFC North. 4%: The perceived talent gap between the Bears and the Packers which Ted Phillips used as his reasoning for the letting go of Jerry Angelo. Divisional weekend wraps up Sunday with two intriguing NFL betting matchups as the Baltimore Ravens host the Houston Texans and the Green Bay Packers host Eli Manning and the New York Giants. Here’s a look at some prop bets to consider at BOVADA as well as some NFL line movement and totals updates.

Both of the teams going head to head in the NFC Championship game next Sunday at 6:30 PM EST on Fox are coming off incredible and improbable wins. The New York Giants took the defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers to school at their own home field Sunday, winning 37-20 to go on to the NFC Championship game. The Packers nearly went undefeated during...
Longest pass completion by Aaron Rodgers a mere 21 yards? You got to be kidding. No receiver had more than 40 yards. Huh? This dominance wasn’t all pass-rush related, even though there were four sacks (two apiece by Michael Boley and Osi Umenyiora). Coverage down the field was...

Antrel Rolle said “the first film I watched’’ when starting his work week was the Dec. 18 Packers game in Kansas City. Why not?
The only blemish on the Packers’ 15-1 record is a shocking 19-14 loss to the Chiefs, who sacked Aaron Rodgers four times and limited him to...
