I thought the NFL Pro Bowl was a reward to the best players of the season at each position?  As it turns out, that’s not the case.  A prime example here would be the Washington Redskins’ LB London Fletcher. He led the league with 162 tackles while the Pro Bowl honors went to Patrick Willis for the San Francisco 49ers,36th, on the tackles list with 93 and Brian Urlacher, 38th, for the Chicago Bears with 92. London Fletcher is a first alternate.  The Redskins’ only chance to get a representative to the all-star game is if a starter or reserve from another team backs out of the game, a player is injured or headed to the Super Bowl.  If that doesn’t happen, then it would be the first time since 1993 that the Redskins did not have a Pro Bowl representative. Many are saying that the Redskins record of 5-10 this season was a huge factor on the voting.  “It’s not surprising,” Fletcher said. “We need a better record than 5-10.
