Hundreds of rookies every year hope to find their way onto a team’s final 53-man roster and make as much of an impact as they can from day one. As we will see from my top five most likely to thrive, it isn’t always when you were drafted, but more what opportunity you are given. In order for a rookie to success they of course must have the talent and determination to show what they are made of. But more importantly that must find that perfect storm of right place, right time, right team, and filling a need.If the best quarterback in the draft is a sixth round guy that ends up backing up the likes of Matt Ryan or Aaron Rodgers, it doesn’t matter how good they are; they aren’t going to get the chance to shine. But a sixth round running back that happens to earn the back-up role to an injury prone player might be a carry away from a breakout rookie season.Let’s take a closer look at five guys that I think have the talent as well as the right situation to make big waves in 2013.

Week three of the NFL preseason is widely regarded as a “dress rehearsal” for the start of the regular season. The starters for each team usually play at least one half of each game in preparation for week one.
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers broke this trend, however, when Rodgers played only a single series against the Seahawks, going 4-7 for 41 yards and leading Green Bay on...
The Green Bay Packers's Curly's Pub at Lambeau Field is now offering player-created specialty burgers. First up is quarterback Aaron Rodgers' creation.
Compared to past preseasons, Aaron Rodgers has barely worked up a sweat in the three exhibitions. It's an interesting dichotomy, with Mike McCarthy wanting the offense to play with more rhythm than it did to start last season but the starting quarterback getting just five series.
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy says Vince Young’s ability to run was the difference maker in his decision to release quarterback Graham Harrell. “Vince Young made plays with his feet. It’s something that was a huge asset of Vince’s. He’s getting better,” McCarthy said in
Just Marshawn Lynch tickling Aaron Rodgers’ mustache.
As the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers were running to the locker room at halftime, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch ambushed Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers with a bear hug and teased him about his mustache. Good to see the former teammates can still have fun with each other.

Some quality halftime horseplay would never be allowed during the regular season. But, when it comes to preseason football, anything goes.
Aaron Rodgers and Marshawn Lynch were teammates for one season at the University California in 2004 and, from the looks of their pow wow on Friday night, it would seem that they developed quite the connection during their short stint together...
Five series, three exhibition games, no touchdowns.
At first glance, the preseason numbers don't really add up for Aaron Rodgers, even with the injuries that have hampered the Packers.
Not to worry, Green Bay fans - looks like the gang's getting back together, just in time for the regular season.
Receivers Jordy Nelson (knee) and Randall Cobb (biceps) were back at practice...

2013 Fantasy Football QB Rankings
This year tier one houses fantasy football’s two safest QB’s in the reliable Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. Now while both of their teams have committed to running the ball more this season, these two signal callers are still the elite options they have been in previous years. A more balanced offense will help the play action game which...
Aaron Rodgers played just one series and Graham Harrell couldn't move the team, but Vince Young provided an immediate spark with his legs on the Packers' only touchdown drive of the night in a 17-10 loss to Seattle.
Here are some highlights from a unicycle football game that went down yesterday between the Unicychos and Los Bierdos. From what I can gather in watching this highlight reel you are considered down when you are knocked off your unicycle, but in an attempt to kick, throw, or catch the football you are allowed to jump off your unicycle.
Is it really that easy to ride one of these...
