When the Oakland Raiders make a move, it often leaves many people scratching their heads. That was the case when they gave up so much to acquire Carson Palmer from the Cincinnati Bengals. It was even more so when they used a supplemental draft pick to select Terrelle Pryor, who many saw as a project at quarterback even if he was allowed to return to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes, let alone having to come out early following his NCAA suspension.
Now, the Raiders are still a bad football team, only they have a lot committed into two quarterbacks to go along with a 3-8 record and a lack of draft picks.
What is a team to do when faced with this situation? Hard to say, considering not that many teams are dumb enough to put themselves in this situation in the first place. Leave it to the Raiders to start a new trend, especially one that leaves you to wonder just what in the hell are they doing out in Oakland.
