Both Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson are having spectacular NFL seasons in 2012, as both continue to defy the odds and the detractors by proving to modern day medical mysteries. After playing all 13 NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, Manning and his former team parted ways after the veteran signal caller missed all of 2011 with neck and back problem. After multiple surgeries and many months of questions, Manning is having a  magnificent season in his first year with the Denver Broncos. But he is not alone in that category. Adrian Peterson tore his ACL and MCL on December 24 of last season. he vowed that he would return to full health in 2012, although very few believed he would be the same back this season, while some doubted he could ever return to elite form. Less than nine months removed from the surgery to repair Peterson’s knee, he started the regular season opener for the Minnesota Vikings. Just a couple of months after that, he is once again being called the best run...

Peterson rushes his way into MVP race

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. This season's tale of Adrian Peterson's recovery has had many chapters since major knee surgery on Dec. 30 to repair two torn knee ligaments. First came his intensive offseason rehabilitation work. Second was the wonder if he would be ready to play in the season's first game just over eight months from surgery as was his stated goal from the beginning...

Peyton Manning keeps the Broncos on track in blowout win

I thought the Broncos would be one of the league's toughest teams this season, but early on, they looked slightly out of sync, and it led to some early season losses. With their win today, however, the Broncos are on track for a comfortable playoff birth, and no team looks more dangerous right now. Peyton Manning quietly put together a 300+ yard game, throwing just one touchdown...

Tom Couglin Calls Out Eli Manning’s Play: “Terrible” “Foolish”

Per a report for the New York Daily News Gary Myers, New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin was so frustrated with his 2-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback Eli Manning that he used “terrible” and “foolish” to describe instances where Manning should have protected the ball better versus trying to make a play. Coughlin typically generalizes his criticism publicly, rarely singling...

Peyton and Colorado Both Celebrate 420

On Sunday, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw his 420th touchdown pass, moving him into second place behind only Dan Marino for the most all-time.  Earlier in the week on Election Day, Colorado citizens voted in a landmark bill that would allow for the full legalization and sale of marijuana. Coincidence? I think not...

How bad is Curtis Painter?!

Even the greatest quarterbacks can’t overcome bad teams, especially not in their rookie year. It’s something that I have always believed and will continue to believe until forever. Look at Peyton Manning, one of the most prolific passers of our time, and a number one overall draft pick. He came into a team that was legitimately terrible in 1998, and the Colts were capable of...

PJD's Game Ten Recap: Lions Lose King of Jungle Crown

Detroit Brought Lions, I Brought Crow: And it's not bad, really. You just have to char it a bit. It's kind of stringy, but that's all. And I'm not eating ALL of the crow, because despite the fact that the Vikings won on Sunday, it doesn't mean that they DOMINATED. All it means is that Purple Jesus saved their ass once again (171 yards and a TD?!), and they got...

Win keeps Vikings in playoff picture

MINNEAPOLIS There will be no lingering frustration heading into the bye week for the Minnesota Vikings after Sunday's 34-24 win. Minnesota knew the importance of beating the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The Vikings wanted to end their two-game slide and be able to head into the off week with positive feelings. They wanted to put Detroit (4-5) squarely behind them. And after last...
