There will be some changes on the New York Giants defensive line in 2013, and DE Osi Umenyiora sounds like he is ready to move on from the only team he has ever played for. The Giants struggled in the second-half of the regular season, losing five of their last eight games, failing to return to the post-season in 2012. The Giants defensive really struggled, ranking 28th against the pass and 25th against the run. As a guest on the Michael Kay Show on Tuesday, Osi Umenyiora certainly sounded as if he is ready to leave New York. He expressed displeasure with being used as a situational pass rusher and wants the opportunity to be an every down defensive end. “I feel fortunate to be able to play in New York. It was a great run. I think now is probably the time to move on. There’s really not much left for me to accomplish here in New York,” Umenyiora told the radio host. Umenyiora recorded six sacks in 2012 despite making just four starts. He has recorded 75 career sacks in his 10 seasons...

2013 NFL Playoffs: Defensive Power Rankings

The New York Giants proved last season that having the best defense in the regular season isn't necessary for winning a Super Bowl. However, a good - if not great - defense sure helps when a team is working its way through the NFL postseason tournament.
