In a move that took about two months longer than it should have, the Jacksonville Jaguars have finally placed running back Maurice Jones-Drew on season ending IR. Of course, the season was going to end in three more days for the Jaguars to begin with, so this move means very little. A season that began poorly ended even worse for Jones-Drew and the Jaguars. After a lengthy contract dispute that led to an even longer holdout, Jones-Drew finally reported to the team right before the start of the 2012 regular season. He played in just five games before injuring his foot on the second play of his sixth game against the Oakland Raiders. For the season, Jones-Drew carried the ball 86 times for 414 yards. He rushed for just one touchdown in 2012, but dded 14 catches for 86 yards and another score through the air. Needless to say, 2012 will not be a year in which Jones-Drew or the Jaguars will remember fondly. It will be anybody’s best guess as to what the future will hold for Jones-Drew in...
