The NFL made it perfectly clear how they will respond to any players or coaches who place an emphasis on trying to go out of their way to injure opposing players or who condone that sort of bounty mentality. Just ask the New Orleans Saints. They would now like to make it equally as clear that they will investigate any comment they feel could be construed as any sort of poor motivation by coaches regarding hits to the other team’s players.
Jerry Gray and the Tennessee Titans are about to find out how serious the NFL is going to take this going forward.
The NFL is looking into comments by Gray to the media concerning how he coaches and motivates his defense. After hearing what he said, it should come as no surprise.
“If you are worrying about that, you are not going to go out and try and blow the guy up,” Gray told the Tennessean on Thursday. “Great football players have to put that out of their mind. You have to say, ‘This is my territory between the numbers, and if you throw the foo...

According to ProFootballWeekly.com, the Tennessee Titans have been very impressed with rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright this season.
“Titans rookie WR Kendall Wright, despite making his second TD catch of the season in Week Four, had a rough game, dropping three catchable balls. His struggles came on the heels of a critical fourth-quarter fumble one week earlier. Are the Titans...
Tennessee Titans receiver Kenny Britt has been activated for the game against Minnesota after being listed as probable with a sprained left ankle.
Britt hasn't practiced in two weeks because of the injury and has only played in two games this season. Linebacker Colin McCarthy, a defensive captain, was active as well for the first time since spraining his right ankle in the season...
Tennessee Titans running back Javon Ringer was carted off the field in the fourth quarter against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday with a left knee injury.
Ringer was injured with just over three minutes to play after catching a pass near the sideline and heading up the field. Vikings cornerback Josh Robinson wrestled him to the turf, twisting the running back down awkwardly.
The Titans’ defense, through four games, has been nothing short of horrible, ranking last or near last in the major statistical categories — points allowed, total yards allowed, passing yards, and rushing yards. Statistics aside, they can’t seem to defend the middle of the field on a consistent basis, drawing the ire of coordinator Jerry Gray.
Heading into their Week 5 matchup...
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Titans linebacker Colin McCarthy and receiver Kenny Britt both are questionable for Sunday's game against Minnesota. McCarthy at least has practiced; Britt has not seen any action in two consecutive weeks due to his sprained left ankle.
McCarthy has not played since injuring the ankle in the season opener against New England. He practiced Wednesday and...
Tennessee Titans running back Javon Ringer suffered a nasty looking knee injury during today’s loss to the Vikings.
According to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean, the Titans fear that Ringer may have suffered a season ending knee injury.
I’m sure Ringer will undergo an MRI on Monday to find out the extent of his injury.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt
found himself once again listed on this week’s injury reports, this time
questionable, with an ankle injury. He’ll be a game-time decision for today’s
contest against the Minnesota Vikings.
Britt sustained the ankle injury during the
Titans Week 3 overtime victory against the Detroit Lions. He caught six passes
The first quarter of the season is over and it's now a good time to review the Titans' basic stats. As you would expect, after three blowout losses and an overtime win in a shootout, the stats are not pretty.
Before getting into the stats, I'd like to say that when Mike Munchak hired Chris Palmer and Jerry Gray as his coordinators, I was more confident in Gray...
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.
