The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a complete shakeup with their front office and coaching staff. After the regular season, the Jaguars dismissed their general manager, replacing him with Dave Caldwell. Shortly after being hired, Caldwell made the move to dismiss Mike Mularkey as the team’s head coach, opting instead to hire a new head coach, one he picks. The name being associated with the Jaguars and Caldwell is San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman. The bond between Roman and Caldwell dates back to their college days when they were roommates. Roman has been the Niners offensive coordinator for the past two seasons. Roman has spent time as a member of the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens coaching staff. Roman has experience working with quarterbacks, having coached Andrew Luck in college, reviving Alex Smith’s career last season in San Francisco and this year, working with Colin Kaepernick.
