Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts could not be more ready to get the 2024 NFL season started. After seeing his rookie season end prematurely due to a shoulder injury, Richardson is ready to get back on the field. He showed flashes of big-time potential as a rookie, but no one got a great look at him.

Even in the games he played, Richardson got banged up and missed quite a bit of time.

The Colts will have to figure out a way to keep their franchise quarterback healthy. He has a huge arm and the ability to make plays with his legs.

Speaking to an NFL scout, Richardson’s potential has been noticed. The scout opened up and didn’t hold back on the Colts’ young quarterback.

“If the Colts can keep him (Richardson) healthy, they’re going to have a superstar on their hands. He can make every single throw, he can make plays with his legs, he’s a leader, and he has all of the things you can’t teach. He simply needs to play. We’re going to see a big step forward in 2024, assuming he stays healthy.”

In Richardson’s first season with the Colts, he ended up playing in just four games. He completed 59.5 percent of his pass attempts for 577 yards, three touchdowns and just one interception. In addition to his passing numbers, Richardson racked up 136 yards and four scores on the ground.

Standing in at 6-foot-4 and a little over 240 pounds, there are very few quarterbacks with the intimidating size of Richardson. He has the body to be an absolute monster dual-threat quarterback. Unfortunately, the injury issues have already started to pile up.

Shane Steichen and the Colts coaching staff have their work cut out for them. They need to figure out how to utilize Richardson’s skill set without putting him in a bad injury position.

Expect to see Richardson come out looking to prove a point this season. He is still of raw talent, but with the right coaching and a good work ethic, superstardom is undoubtedly in his future.
