NFL Starting QB Colleges

Posted September 08, 2008 on Jetsfan4's Blog:
I have (for some strange reason) been thinking about which schools each of the NFL Starting QB's went to. I decided to make a quiz about it, because I wanted to make a quiz, and this is a quizable topic. I put some comments with a few of the QBs just for fun (you may not like one of them if you are a Pats Fan) I had to look up like 10 of these, so have fun. PS: order of QB is determined alphabetically by team NFL team location, and this isn't a "beat the clock" quiz, because that would be impossible. EDIT: I made a spelling error, I meant to say on the Brett Favre comment that saying "Brett Favre, Jets" SOUNDS awesome. I can't type I guess.

  • great quiz i only got 25 =[
  • missed kitna d'oh!!! 31 out of 32 is still good though I guess.
  • I got all 32 right (which is good, cause I made the quiz). When I was doing the research, I was surprised to see how many of these guys came from smaller schools.at least 10 of them came from either lower 1A teams or 1AA teams. I am happy to see that most people missed a couple, because before I made this quiz, I didn't know a bunch of them (I am only 23, so I don't really recall Warner or other old guys in college really), and thought maybe I was one of the only people who didn't know where everyone went.

Just to let you all know, because of the apparent popularity of this quiz, I just made a sequel, this one with AFC Running Backs. it should be even more of a challenge (I hope)
  • missed o'sullivan and kitna - 30/32
  • 30.

  • 30 / 32 - missed....Favre....and O'Sullivan....how the hell do you miss Favre????

  • KITNA WAS MY ONLY WRONG GUESS......
  • 28/30 - missed kitna and delhomme
  • Got 'em all right!!
  • 32 out of 32. Best quiz yet.
  • 30 out of 32 for me
  • good quiz! 80%
  • 23 (72%) that was tougher than I thought.........we should do starting '85 QB's!
  • Damn!! Tony Romo got Me like i know where Eastern Illinios is,LMAO..
  • 27/32..pretty good i guess
  • 31/32. I also missed on Kitna
  • "we should do starting '85 QB's! "

I just did the research for it, and I only heard of half of the QB's, being that I was born in 1985, so I think it would be an unfair quiz for the younger generation (AKA the under 30's) I think a better quiz for 1985 would be to name the QBs, as supposed to naming the school the guy went to.

I will be doing the research for a 1998 QB colleges, because I remember that year better (being a Jet fan, I better), and will probably post that one today or monday.
  • Jake Delhomme went to Southwestern Louisiana moron
  • 29/32 missed Kitna, Garcia, and oops on Pennington
  • Yep, Pennington to Moss was all day at Marshall.
  • According to Pro-Football Reference, ESPN.com, Rotoworld.com, AND PANTHERS.COM, he didn't go to Southwestern Louisiana, he went to Louisiana-Lafayette. so sorry TylerT4OSF, but you sir, are the Moron. (sorry to spoil that one, but this guy got under my skin calling me a moron for no reason)
  • When Delhomme was in college the school was called Southwestern Louisiana University. Subsequently the school changed its name to the University of Louisiana Lafayette (similar to UL Monroe which used to be known as Northeastern Louisiana University - NLU).
  • Where's my score??? Is the quiz broke?
  • 29 out of 32...missed O'Sullivan, Kitna and Edwards.
  • 28....missed bulger o'sullivan kitna and edwards
  • 26 out of 32 not bad.
  • 31/32, only missed Kitna.
  • 25/32...probably better than I thought I'd do.
