Jason WhitneyMark Sanchez headlines possible NFL trade rumors for 2013
The 2012 NFL season is coming to a close, and that means that we are inching nearer to the time
where teams make some interesting moves to try to rework their teams. Here are our NFL picks
for the top names that could be traded in the upcoming offseason.
Mark Sanchez – Sources have already reported that the Jets are going to openly shop Sanchez
in the offseason in hopes that someone is going to eat at least a piece of the massive contract that
he was given in the offseason last year. New York might be forced to hold onto him, because
Sanchez would come with over a $15M salary cap hit if he is cut and there is no trade partner for
him.
Tim Tebow – Now that he has been passed on the depth chart by QB Greg McElroy, Tebow
wants out of the Big Apple as well. He has some trade value for the right team that can use him
and market him properly, and we fully expect to see him moved by the end of the NFL Draft for,
perhaps a third or a fourth round draft pick.
Philip Rivers – There’s going to be a new coach and a new GM in San Diego next year. Could
there be a new quarterback as well? Rivers has tossed 15 picks this year, and in his last 30
games, he has 49 TDs and 35 INTs. That just doesn’t cut it at this level, and the Bolts might want
to start over while they can still get some value for their signal caller.
DeAngelo Williams – Williams and RB Jonathan Stewart really need to be broken up, and the
time might be now for that to happen. Williams was dangled at the trade deadline this year, but
nothing happened and he was stuck in Carolina. He hasn’t had a great career, but for a team that
is lacking at the running back position, the former first round pick could become available.

Mark Sanchez jerseys have apparently hit the clearance rack (Picture)
Was Sunday the official start of the Greg McElroy era in New York? Chances are the New York Jets will pursue another option at starting quarterback when the offseason begins, which means there is also a good chance Mark Sanchez may have taken his last snap with the team. Otherwise, it would probably cost you more than $10 for his Jets jersey.
As you can see from the photo above...
Report: Jets don’t have any viable options to trade Sanchez & Tebow
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, there’s virtually no trade market for either TIm Tebow and Mark Sanchez. If the Jets want to get rid of either player, they’re likely going to have to release them.
When Sanchez restructured his contract last year to provide cap relief to the team, the new contract language effectively tied the struggling passer to New York through...
The Jets Franchise Holds More Blame Than The Sanchize
The Jets' season has come to a floundering halt after their Monday night loss to the Tennessee Titans 14 -10. Mark Sanchez looked like a klutz, once again, throwing 4 interceptions. This was another in a string of clumsy games that have involved Sanchez this season. He has 24 turnovers total this season, 17 INT and 7 fumbles lost. Everyone's favorite fumble was the "...
Jets reportedly feared ‘Tebowmania’ would ruin Mark Sanchez’s psyche
When the New York Jets acquired Tim Tebow last offseason, the same question popped into the minds of almost everyone — why? If Rex Ryan and company were so committed to Mark Sanchez after signing him to a hefty extension, why would they bring in a quarterback who is arguably the most popular player in the NFL and just led a team to the playoffs?
One common line of thinking is that...

The New York Jets have received a lot of publicity this season, most of it bad. For the rest of us, seeing them fall flat...

Your Week 16 Early Games Open Thread
It’s a shame that the Jets and Jaguars already had their meeting this season, because right now would have been perfect for maximized levels of abject derpitude.
