There are two games being played this weekend with the NFC and AFC holding their championship games to determine which teams will play in the Super Bowl this season. The Atlanta Falcons are hosting the San Francisco 49ers, but weather will not play a role in that contest as the game will be played inside the Georgia Dome. However, weather could be a factor in the late game being played this evening as the New England Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens. On the weather maps, the predominant feature is a cold front marching towards the east. A low pressure center is located north of the Great Lakes and the associated cold front runs from upstate New York through West Virginia into the Tennessee Valley and back towards Oklahoma. This front will bring snow to the New England area on Monday, but ahead of it, some windy conditions will be in store for the Foxboro area today. Foxboro will be unseasonably warm this afternoon with a high of 52 expected. Currently at 6 a.m. EST, the mercury si...

Can the Ravens win in New England with Joe Flacco and an old defense. Championship weekend preview.

The Ravens won last week, but they needed some big plays and luck.  They will need a lot more luck to win this weekend in New England. The Divisional round delivered some of the best football of the season.  Having the elite quarterbacks on the field definitely helped. This weekend we have a final four that should deliver more exciting football.  This is why the NFL is...

Bernard Pollard Calls Tom Brady’s Slide ‘Bull Crap,’ Says ‘You’ve Got to Keep Them Legs Down’ (Video)

Bernard Pollard has made plenty of enemies in New England for his play on the field, and his postgame chatter isn’t going to help his cause. Pollard, who has a well-documented history of injuring Patriots players over the years, made it clear after the Ravens’ AFC Championship victory on Sunday that he wasn’t a fan of Tom Brady‘s somewhat questionable slide at the end of...

Jim, John Harbaugh ready for rematch at Super Bowl

These days, Jack Harbaugh stays away from game-planning chatter or strategy sessions with his Super Bowl-bound coaching sons. Baltimore's John Harbaugh and little brother Jim of the San Francisco 49ers have been doing this long enough now to no longer need dad's input. Yet, they still regularly seek it. And, their father does offer one basic mantra: ''Get ahead,...

Aqib Talib Proclaims ‘I’m Still a Patriot,’ Says He Enjoys Playing in New England

While Wes Welker‘s contract situation will be a hot topic surrounding the Patriots’ offseason, the team also has a big question mark on the other side of the ball. Cornerback Aqib Talib is slated to become a free agent, and while it’s obvious New England could use a shutdown corner like Talib, it remains to be seen whether the Patriots are willing to give him the lucrative...

Ravens are confidence with rookie kicker Justin Tucker

There's no doubt that the Baltimore Ravens have plenty of faith in their rookie kicker Justin Tucker. Since replacing Billy Cundiff after he was run out of town, Tucker has converted on 30 of his 33 field goal attempts in addition to his 42 extra points. Last week against the Denver Broncos, Tucker kicked the game winning 47-yard field goal in double-overtime. Tucker'...

Former Patriots Coach O'Brien Honored

Former New England Patriots coordinator Bill O'Brien earns coaching award for his work at Penn State.

You Won't Win Them All

Notice that I didn't title this post, you "can't" win them all, because the New England Patriots certainly could have won this game.  ...If Wes Welker didn't drop critical passes ...If the Patriots managed the clock better at the end of the half and scored a touchdown instead of a field goal ...If the Patriot's didn't get called for...
