There were some unusual and unexpected heroes in Week 5 of the 2013 NFL regular season.  There always are.  Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters. Photo Credit: MiamiDolphins.com Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami Dolphins: Threw for 307 yards and a touchdown in the team’s hard-fought 26-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He’s averaging 276.6 yards per game. He’s a decent QB2 but is only a bye week play.  Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em. Zac Stacy, RB, St. Louis Rams: Rushed for 78 yards on 14 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Daryl Richardson averaged just 3.7 yards on 13 carries compared to Stacy’s 5.6 YPC. Jacksonville is awful, so be sure to discount Stacy’s performance a little. Nonetheless, he should be owned as long as his rib injury isn’t serious.  Ruling: Get ‘em. Andre Ellington, RB, Arizona Cardinals: Rushed for 52 yards on seven carries and added four catches on four targets for 31 yards in the team’s 22-6 win over the Carolina Panthe

Austin, Rams still looking to ignite offensive fireworks

ST. LOUIS -- It happened again Sunday. Tavon Austin fielded a punt from Jacksonville's Bryan Anger and, through a series of dizzying cuts and bursts of speed, reminded everyone why he is the St. Louis Rams' rookie sensation. But like the 81-yard Austin return for a touchdown that caused a stir against Denver in the preseason, this 49-yard run -- which would have landed...

St. Louis Rams: 2013 Week 6 NFL Power Rankings (#28)

Last week: 28 (+0) Record: 2-3 Beating the Jaguars isn’t impressive. It ended an awful stretch for the Rams, in which they trailed Atlanta 21-0 early before injuries and garbage time, they lost 31-7 to the Cowboys, and they lost 35-11 to the Rams. That being said, I don’t think any higher of them than I did before last week and now they go on a very tough stretch, starting with...

RB Zac Stacy (St. Louis) Percent owned (ESPN): 0.6% 5th round rookie Zac Stacy was the lead back for the Rams this week, after they benched Daryl Richardson mid-week following a pathetic showing against the 49ers week 4. He carried the ball 14 times for 78 yards. He won’t always get to face the Jaguars’ putrid defense, but he showed enough that he should continue to be the lead...
