This is the weekly stock watch. These are 10 players, teams, coaches, and everything in between that either dramatically rose or fell in stock this week. UP John Abraham, DE, Atlanta Falcons The Falcons are 3-2. Let that sink in a little bit before continuing. The reasons for the Falcons' early success have been attributed mostly to the early development of Matt Ryan and playmakers on offense (Michael Turner, Roddy White). However, the play of the defensive line, especially John Abraham off the edge, has been huge in limiting opponents. Abraham has seven sacks now through five games and is a serious candidate for defensive player of the year. (Read the rest of the up players at the link below) DOWN Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City Chiefs Johnson is supposed to be an elite back. He didn't play that way at all last year, though. This year, it looked like he was finally back on track with a ridiculous game against Denver that showcased his all-around abilities. However, his follow-up effort against Carolina was pathetic by any standards, with seven carries for just two yards. Johnson isn't doing himself any favors, as he has made it all but clear that he wants to be traded before the deadline this season. To read the rest, visit the link below.
