For the dozen or so of you who visit our site, you might have noticed that each week the games are compared to something else (Guitar Hero, sports movies) in order to, um, gain greater insight into the matchups. This week, we're comparing games to people you may run into on Halloween, in honor of the upcoming holiday. For the full preview, check out the URL.
New England Patriots (5-2) at Indianapolis Colts (3-4)
Halloween Comparison: The people who give out health food instead of candy
Colts! Patriots! Manning! Brady! Hell yeah! Wait...the Colts suck, and Tom Brady has about 1.4 knees right now. What is supposed to be the annual "game of the year" has lost a lot of its edge, and has been getting almost no hype this week. It's the kind of feeling a kid gets when he's all pumped up to go trick-or-treating, and the next-door neighbors stiff him with an Apple or Kashi or whatever other organic BS is passing for food these days. In our "disappointment of the week" game I'm taking Cassel and the Pats, but I could see it going either way; the Colts are desperate for a win right now, and could play their best game of the season.
Prediction: Patriots 17, Colts 13

Sorry if I offended anyone with my Halloween stereotypes...

Patriots and Colts just don't have the same ring this year..this will be a snorer Colts win 21-14
-
Yeah...could still be a good game, but it won't matter by the end of the season.
-
still a good rivalry, though and the colts are getting some key players back. i think im looking forward to this more than cowboys giants, but it's close.
-
They're also losing some key players (Marlin Jackson)....

charlie brown by a field goal

aaaah that's funny

Colts need this game bad, but they really do stink this year. I'm going to take'em though anyway. Patriots pass defense is suspect. Colts 28-13.

Yeah, I could see that easily happening. Part of my reasoning for the Pats is that they likely will have LaMont Jordan back, who has looked good, against a soft Colts Run D. Also, the Colts are coming off a short week.

The Colts get Addai back, at least they should be able to rush the ball. And that will take some of the pressure off Peyton.
