Originally seen at FF ManiaxsWeek One saw some important players go down, some for the year, some for a few weeks. See who got stingers and who's going to be out for quite some time... Donovan McNabb It has been reported from several sources that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has cracked his rib after his team’s 38-10 stomping over the Carolina Panthers. Coach Andy Reid says the injury is pretty sore and he might be available for Week Two. If not, the Eagles are covered with Kevin Kolb and the newly-signed Jeff Garcia. Kyle Orton Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton has injured his finger after the 12-7 miracle win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He recently had stitches removed from his index finger and he will most likely play next week against the Cleveland Browns. The Associated Press says that he may be wearing a glove to protect his finger during the football game. Tony Romo Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was injured during the team’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Romo says he injured his ankle. According to Pro Football Talk, Romo has an ankle sprain in which coach Wade Phillips says it isn’t too serious. Romo will start practicing on Wednesday as the Cowboys get ready for week two against the New York Giants on Sunday Night. James Davis Cleveland Browns running back James Davis has suffered from a shoulder injury during the second half of the team’s game against Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings. Davis also received a head injury in a car accident about a week ago. Davis finished the game with four carries and five yards. Danny Ware New York Giants running back Danny Ware has dislocated his elbow during the team’s 23-17 win over the Washington Redskins. Ware will likely miss two weeks according to the New York Times, along with fellow teammate Hakeem Nicks. Adrian Peterson It has been reported that Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been suffering from an injury on his arm, which seems to be an arm laceration, which is the same spot in which he received an IV. Peterson played an amazing game against the Cleveland Browns, running for 180 rushing yards that certainly gives your team some very valued fantasy points if he is on your roster. Jamal Lewis Cleveland Browns running back Jamal Lewis has suffered from a head injury that occurred when he took a hard blow to the head during his game against the Minnesota Vikings. Lewis totaled 104 yards, 57 yards on the run and 47 yards on the pass. Hakeem Nicks Along with Danny Ware, New York Giants rookie wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will likely be out for two weeks with a sprained left foot. According to a source, Nicks will be okay. Nicks caught two catches for 18 yards during NY’s 23-17 win over the Redskins. Andre Davis Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Davis suffered from a concussion during the team’s loss to Mark Sanchez and the New York Jets. He looks to come back next week. Anthony Gonzalez Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez suffered from a strained ligament in his knee during the team’s 14-12 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. It seemed that on the play, Gonzalez was running his route and tripped, and somehow just got injured. Gonzalez is expected to miss about two-to-six weeks. Pierre Garcon looks to come in to fill in for his place as the Colts head on to play the Miami Dolphins next week. Antonio Bryant Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Bryant suffered an injury on his knee. The Bucs are checking his knee on a weekly basis so he could get ready for next week’s game after a painful loss to Roy Williams and the Dallas Cowboys. Bryant appeared to be injured in the fourth quarter of the game and a source told me that Bryant was also just resting his knee. Desmond Clark Chicago Bears tight end Desmond Clark injured his back during the team’s loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The status is unknown of Clark, and more sad things are developing for the Bears as another painful injury to the team’s linebacking corps, in which I will talk about it right now. Brian Urlacher Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher injured his wrist during the team’s loss to the Packers. Urlacher is expected to miss the whole season and that will leave a gaping hole in the Bears’ defense. The team will be much affected by this as Urlacher is the heart and soul of Chicago’s defense. Urlacher ended the game with three tackles against Green Bay. James Laurinaitis It has been reported that St. Louis Rams rookie linebacker James Laurinaitis has suffered from a minor knee injury during the team’s 28-0 blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Coach Steve Spagnuolo calls the injury a bursar sac. DeMarcus Ware Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware has suffered from a head injury. Ware had 20 sacks last year and his aiming for beating Michael Strahan’s sack record coming into this year’s 2009-10 season.
