Found August 22, 2012 on Obsessed With Sports:

Every season RDM obsesses on the NFL team win total over/unders. It’s one of the more fun bets in all of sports. A single well-placed bet turns an otherwise random team into a must see weekly event. Today we look at the 2012 Jacksonville Jaguars.

The number: 4.5

Thinking back on the 2011 season, I recall the Jaguars being one of the worst teams in the league. With that said, the team actually won 5 games. The team’s 2011 win total over/under was actually a lofty 6.5. This year Vegas, unimpressed with the Jags 2011 campaign, pulled that number back to 4.5 for the coming season.

I refer to the 2011 number as “lofty.” However, I actually picked the over last season. Will I learn from that blunder?

No, of course not.

Can I really put my faith in Blaine Gabbert, again?

Two of the Jags 5 wins last season came against an Indy team that was practicably throwing games. So that was a soft 5 win season. Gabbert looks like a whole new QB thus far this preseason. Honestly, who gives a ****? In fact, that could be a negative. Maybe Blaine is the kind of player than can only play when nothing is on the line.

The MJD holdout is a rather significant concern. Nothing helps a young QB more than a solid running game. That said, Justin Blackmon could be just the stud WR that Gabbert needs to take him to the next level (that level being mediocrity).

I’m taking the preseason hype bait. I hope the Jacksonville fans support this team. Look at that QB, pictured above. Is there anyone more “Jacksonville” looking than him?

The pick: over 4.5 wins

Jacksonville Jaguars: Blaine Gabbert on the Road to Redemption

Who Needs a RB When You Have a Guy Named Blaine

NFL Owner! We don’t talk about the Jacksonville Jaguars much around these parts and that’s a damn shame because they are boring as **** and terrible and so is this blog. In fact, I would say that in the grand scheme of the entire internet, this site IS the Jaguars of the worldwide web--just completely irrelevant and a real lack of competence at the most important position here...
