Every season RDM obsesses on the NFL team win total over/unders. It’s one of the more fun bets in all of sports. A single well-placed bet turns an otherwise random team into a must see weekly event. Today we look at the 2012 New York Giants . The number: 8.5 Eli Manning is a ******* winner. That point has been proven again, and again, and again. The rest of this division is filled with a bunch of bonafide losers. That point has been proven again, and again, and again. And again. At the end of the day, the NFC East is just another day at the beach for Eli and the Giants. This is more a pick against the Eagles, ‘Skins and Cowboys. That should be at least 5 wins for the G-men right there. Injuries, which are a massive part of any pre-season over.under bet, are my only concern with the Giants. The team played a lot of games last year. Barring a rash of untimely injuries, the Giants trot to an NFC East title. The pick: over 8.5 win

Which Rookie will have Impact for Defending Champs?

Tom Uddo BGB Correspondent One of the biggest questions coming into the 2012 NFL season for the New York Giants was who would join the tandem of Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks to complete the passing-threat trio? With the departure of Mario Manningham to the San Francisco 49ers, the defending Super Bowl champions are desperate for someone to claim the third wide-receiver...

Adrian Tracy has a new position and new nickname

At last, after two long years with the Giants, Adrian Tracy has found a spot on defense. He also has a new name. Meet ''Young Osi,'' the defensive end who has a lot in common with his fellow position mate, Osi Umenyiora. Tracy is a little undersized to be an end, but he has the same type of speed and explosive burst that helped make Umenyiora a two-time Pro Bowl...

Giants Officially Waive LB Clint Sintim, DE Justin Trattou

The Giants waived linebacker Clint Sintim and defensive end Justin Trattou on Thursday. Sintim, was who waived/failed physical, was a second-round draft choice in 2009. He tore his right ACL in December 2010 and re-tore it, as well as the patella tendon, prior to the 2011 regular season. Trattou was waived/injured after suffering ankle and heel injuries early in training camp. He...

Tom Coughlin and an amazing piece of football technology

Tom Coughlin is the best big-game coach in the game today. Our powerful point-spread database Spreadapedia also reveals that he's consistently a step ahead of public expectations. For example, he's .731 all-time when a 3-point favorite. Oh! His Giants are -3 vs. Dallas in Week 1.

Giants Looking to Fine Tune Their Play in Second Pre-Season Game

Ahmad Bradshaw and the Giants offense will look to get things going against a tough Jets defense. When you combine a trash talking cornerback, a couple of  training camp brawls, a camp holdout, and  a QB controversy with a dash of “Tebowmania”, what you get is the New York Jets offseason in a nutshell. The Jets have been the talk of the town for more reasons than just one as...

Giants, Jets meet for 1st time since Cruz's catch

What rivalry? Players from both the New York Giants and Jets downplayed the hometown rivalry between the teams, but acknowledged that there's always a little extra buzz - even in preseason - when they get together. Their matchup Saturday night at MetLife Stadium - a Jets home game - marks the teams' first meeting since the Giants won 29-14 on Christmas Eve, sparked by Victor...

Giants OT Will Beatty 'Back On The Shelf' With Back Issue

Will Beatty slept in his own bed the past two nights. Let's get that out of the way right off the bat. Regardless, the Giants' left tackle did not practice today because of a continuing back issue that has had him in and out (though mostly out) of practice this spring and summer. "He's back on the shelf," coach Tom Coughlin said after practice. "He'...

3 On 3: Two Trios to Watch For When Giants Take On The Jets

No team goes in looking to lose, not even in preseason football.  But the outcome of the game aside, both the Giants and Jets have players to keep your eyes on.  While there will be battles at multiple positions, we will focus on three individuals to keep your eyes on for both teams.  It is safe to assume you can name at least one from each team, so I will try not to go with the...

Peyton Manning: Bad for the Broncos

When I wed my beautiful bride nearly a decade ago, I married into her rabid fanaticism for the Denver Broncos. I have adopted the team as my own. But never in our eight year marriage have both of us been so unexcited about an upcoming season at Mile High Stadium. Peyton Manning is just not our guy. I know he had a stellar career with the Indianapolis Colts, a Super Bowl champion...
