The Victory Formation:
By now, everyone knows that Roger Goodell will go to great lengths in his quest to “protect the shield”. In an effort to purportedly protect the integrity of the league, the NFL front office engages in a number of aggressive PR moves to control the message. The latest attempt is patently absurd. Since Aaron Hernandez was arrested and charged with murder on Wednesday, his career stats have magically disappeared from his player page on NFL.com. This is ridiculous. Are we really supposed to pretend that just because Hernandez stands accused of murder that none of what he did on the football field actually happened? It’s not as if those career stats aren’t easily available elsewhere. Also, career stats still appear on the site for players who’ve actually been convicted of murder. We all understand that image is supremely important to the NFL, and protecting it is part of why it’s the most successful league on the planet. At the same time, however, going too far in order to spin the story and control the message can have the opposite of the intended effect. If anything, removing the stats from Hernandez’s profile page makes this tragic story in which a man [...]

According to USA TODAY Sports, the lawyer for the man who was shot in the face by former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez down in Florida, claims that his client was left for dead.
Alexander Bradley, 30, filed a civil complaint in a U.S. District Court in South Florida in which he accused Hernandez of shooting him in the face on Feb. 13. Bradley was found alone and bleeding from...
People describe these sayings as cliches.
“Girls are attracted to bad boys.”
“Nice guys finish last.”
Maybe there is something to these cliches.

I know Aaron Hernandez is involved in a murder but got damn he is sooo sexy
Aaron Hernandez is too damn sexy to be charged with anything.
People have forgotten about Alexander Bradley. He is the man who says he was shot in the face by Aaron Hernandez after a night out at the strip club.
One again, it is innocent until proven guilty, but maybe Hernandez was so sloppy with leaving evidence because he had shot people for years and got away with it. Bradley’s lawyer believes when Hernandez allegedly shot Bradley, it...
Thoughts on what Aaron Hernandez's arrest could mean for the Patriots - Going Deep - Boston.com:...
A.B. As you can see below, Aaron Hernandez’s NFL career stats are no longer listed on NFL.com.
At first glance I figured it was an error – maybe even a database or website issue with NFL.com. But after typing other random current NFL players in the search field, and their stats showing up, it seems Hernandez’s missing stats may be intentional.
Why the NFL would remove (if done...
The New England Patriots wasted no time distancing themselves from Aaron Hernandez after the tight end was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on Wednesday. Less than two hours after the arrest, the Pats announced they released Hernandez. They have continued to cut ties from Hernandez as he faces serious charges. Hernandez’s jersey is no [...]
Wesley Lowery of the Boston Globe is reporting that Aaron Hernandez accomplice Earnest Wallace has been captured in Miramar, Florida.
All three men allegedly responsible for the murder of Odin Lloyd have now been apprehended.
First there was planking. Then came Tebowing. A weak attempt to get Griffining going didn't last. Kaepernicking came close to becoming the next big thing, but I don't think it quite made it. However, we may finally have the next craze; the next thing that everyone is going to be doing.
Yes, people being--well, people--are going to poke fun at...
Two fairly small asides on a case that I really hope I don't feel compelled to discuss too often...
First, inde- pendent of the merits of the case involving ex-Patriots tight end and burgeoning murder suspect of everyone Aaron Hernandez... just how little do you have to have going on in your life to go down to a court house to protest the innocence of a celebrity?
After arresting Aaron Hernandez and another man in the Odin Lloyd
case, police now have issued a wanted release for a third man.
My names Aaron Hernandez and I’m here to say,
I’ve really run a foul of the Patriot way!
I smashed my cameras and my phone,
Then i had some spanish ladys come and clean my home!
Im looking at a sentence of 25 to life,
I’ll be in higher demand than Rick Reillys wife!
Belichick and Kraft just said goodbye,
Toss Salad doesnt taste as good as Humble Pie!

“Hard Knocks”, an HBO show that follows an NFL team throughout training camp to give fans an inside look at how a team functions, has been entertaining fans since it’s revival in 2007. Teams like Dallas, Cincinnati, the Jets, and others have been the subject of the documentary-like show and now it looks as though Roger Goodell wants to take more control of the show and which...
With some of his recent comments it almost sounds as if teams may not have a choice when it comes to participating in the HBO series Hard Knocks.
Anyone want to guess how well that goes over with the players?
NFL.com reports Goodell as saying:
"We're talking about some kind of formal rotation where teams participate in the show on a more regular basis,"...
