Lovie Smith, Head Coach of the Chicago Bears, has made it official; he's going to let Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton duke it out for the starting job. Not exactly exciting stuff in what looks like two mules fighting over a turnip, that's right no one cares. www.rawsportsblog.com

  • may aaron roges be the best quarterback out of the Alex Smith draft class? unless i missed someone than i think so
  • you cant say hes the best before he starts a game, i think he'll be good, but he still needs some time before you call him the best, jason campbell hasnt been horrible
  • I really HATE watching Kurt Warner play. I know he has been MVP and was once great and blah blah blah, but I just can't STAND watching him fall down, and throw interceptions, which happens almost every game that I have watched him play. I never saw the great KW. When I hear about THAT great KW, I am like, wow wtf happened?? I just feel like sticking a pencil in my eye every time I decide to watch a AZ game. Its aweful.
  • I think Kurt Warner played pretty well when given the opportunity. The offensive line isn't the greatest in AZ but he can still get it done. Think of the other alternatives in the league..say.. Grossman..Cleo Lemon etc. Not so fresca. As for the worst QB in the league? I'd say the Bears "starters". Be on the lookout for the RAVENS this year. I think they really like what they see in Troy Smith and might give him the starting nod (which might make Kyle Boller expendable for the right draft choice). Good fit for him in Bears country.
  • yeah but when he was playing for the Giants I hated watching him play as well. I used to just think..Please make it stop. He just sucks to me. Totally boring to watch, but maybe it is just his style of play and not his performance.
  • Perhaps. There are a few players that I find "painful" to watch. But if you are an AZ fan I'm sure you are happy that you have another option besides Kurt (Leinart). I thought KW didn't fit the scheme in NY and thus didn't produce. But even know with somewhat diminished skills, he still can get it done and put up good numbers. I've been rooting for the Cards since Neil Lomax was on the team (you might have to do some research for that tid bit haha). So maybe THIS is the year they finally make the playoffs?
  • I like underdogs...And Larry fitgerald's butt. I though LAST year was going to be their playoff year, but I was WAY wrong.
  • That's the great thing about the NFL. Every year there could be a drastic turn around. I think Cards might be last years "Cleveland Browns" (except actually making the playoffs this year).
  • WOW FOR STARTERS ...IT HAS TO BE alex smith or who ever chicago puts in for the league I would have to say with out a doubt Kordel stewart... who was also just cut by baltimore
  • HERE IS THE KICKER,alex smith, kordell stewart and rex grossman---THEY CAN NOT READ COMPLEX DEFENSE'S IN PASSING DOWNS----THEY CAN MANAGE A GAME,DON'T get me wrong,WHEN COMES TO LIVE BULLETS,THEY ARE A LAME DUCK PERIOD---the jury is out on LEINART--WITH ALL THOSE WEAPONS---I AM PUZZLE IN ARIZONA---THEY NEED TO GIVE THAT--SUPER BOWL--OR WHAT EVER BACK TO THAT LITTLE TOWN IN PENNSYVANIA FOR REAL!!!!!!!
  • romo sucks nuts

    tony homo sucks
  • don't even mess with mcnabb---baby--if he has time in to throw the ball on any defense period!!!he has a gun for an arm---and read any defense period----the jury is still out on romo---can he win a playoff game---FOR REAL,THATS LIVE BULLETS--NOT REG SEASON!!!!
  • what chicago needs to do is get rid of rex grossman he is terrible and sign leftwich who is better than both of them .... i wonder how is he still a quarterback in this league he is just complete garbage
  • Leftwich gets hurt way too much and I don't think the Bears would take the risk. It seems to me that they are content having an awful quarterback and letting their defense win games.

  • Because the Bears organization loves causing their fans pain and suffering?

  • tony romo
  • As much as i hate him, tony romo can't be in this conversation. D mac can't be in it either. That's just ridiculous. I'm throwing Tavaris Jackson out there. I've never seen him do anything that impressed me.
  • I have been telling people this for a little while now. There should be no hating on T Jack until after a few games into this season. To explain, he has only started 14 games in his career. But, if he doesn't get his act together quickly this year, expect him to be out.

  • I agree Buia412. Jackson just doesn't look comfortable out there. There's so much more to being a good quarterback than just plain skills. Intelligence and leadership are two that immediately come to mind. Tavaris doesn't display either to me. In his defense though, he is still young.
  • Of starters - Croyle, Grossman, Tavaris Jackson, Josh McCown
  • Romo Sucks
  • Where's McNabb? Even Philly can't argue he's one of the worst.

  • How many Steelers games do you watch a year? The guy lead his team to a superbowl when he was twenty four years old. It wouldn't surprise me to see Romo win one in Dallas this year either. I would take Ben and Romo over McNabb any day.
