The NFL Players Association has filed an unfair labor practice claim with the National Labor Relations Board on Friday, ProPlayersInsider.com reports. Citing union sources, the report states that the NFLPA has been trying to obtain a list of players eligible for injury protection benefits under the new collective bargaining agreement since October, but the league has yet to provide the union with that information. Prior to Friday's filing, the union had filed a grievance with the system arbitrator. The report also mentions the case of former Chicago Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer, who finished the 2010 season on injured reserve after suffering multiple concussion and was advised by the team's concussion consultant to not continue his career. Hillenmeyer was released with one season remaining on his contract, but has been denied injury protection benefits. "I was told by the Bears' own independent neuro-psych doctor that I could not continue playing football," Hillenmeyer told the Chicago Tribune in January. "Just to be sure I was covering all my bases, I went to see (Dr. Robert) Cantu. He gave the same diagnosis: No more football. I filed the paperwork thinking it was a pretty open-and-shut deal. Now, I can't point the finger directly at Cliff (Stein) or Jerry (Angelo) because they might have just been following orders from the (NFL Management Council), but they could have just agreed to the claim and it would have been done."

Why Matt Forte Should Be Pissed
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the way the Chicago Bears are handling their star running back is just not smart. Matt Forte has been one of the league's premier backs the past two seasons. With other star's around the league getting paid big bucks, the Bears for whatever reason are not investing the money in Forte. Instead each season, the Bears have invested...

I’m no Doctor… but, I hope John Elway knows something about Peyton Manning’s neck that I don’t
I expressed earlier this week that Manning to Denver (and thus, Tebow out of town) was a move I could support. I definitely see the logic behind the decision and bringing in one of the best the game has ever seen instantly places the Broncos in the playoff/Super Bowl conversation.
That’s fine. The move is a [...]
