Football is a tough sport, there is no getting around it. Many times it sucks to get hit, and then there are times where it really sucks to get hit. There are very rarely tackles that feel good in the NFL(that would probably be weird if they did), but there are certainly some players who dish out more punishment than others. With that in mind, here is a look at some of the hardest hitters in the NFL.
5. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Detroit Lions- Football’s version of the Bad Boys, the Lions, are led by Suh, who makes his presence felt wherever he goes. There is no question that Suh not only wants to stop the offense, but he wants to make them hurt as well.
4. Clay Matthews, LB, Green Bay Packers-Matthews plays with almost a reckless abandon while on the field. If getting hit by Matthews wasn’t enough, watching him celebrate after a sack or tackle for loss has to be tough for his opponents to stomach. However, at the end of the day, most NFL quarterbacks would rather see Matthews celebra...
BEST OF MAXIM
Ndamukong Suh may be suspended for two weeks from the NFL, but he is now ready for the off-the-field melt down that often comes to players out of control.
The stomping fool now is free to go home for a few weeks of relaxation and avoid those anger management classes.
So, he promptly went out on the town, crashing his Chevy muscle car with a nimrod of victims...
One of the big stories this week has been the mysterious circumstances surrounding Lions DT Ndamukong Suh’s car accident last Saturday. In case you missed it, the already-controversial, anger-prone DT was serving his two-game suspension at home in Portland, where he crashed into a tree after slamming on the gas pedal early Saturday morning. With two female...
Not having suspended Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh available Sunday is starting to look like the least of the Lions' concerns. Counting Suh, the team could be without as many as six key defensive contributors against the Vikings.
Detroit-- The reputation of Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh took a hit after he was given a two-game suspension, but it doesn't appear to sway NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's opinion of Suh as a person.
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Ndamukong Suh will get a warm reception from defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham when he returns to the Lions Monday after serving a two-game suspension.
But Cunningham is being considerably cooler toward Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen because of the disparaging comments Allen made earlier in the week about the city of Detroit.
The Lions play...
With Ndamukong Suh stomping on people, Brandon Pettigrew shoving officials and various others picking up personal foul penalties, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham and head coach Jim Schwartz come under a bit of scrutiny for how they coach the young men in Honolulu blue.
It's a simplistic explanation for what's probably a more complicated problem, and...
The Detroit Lions are developing a reputation as the N.F.L.’s dirtiest team after a raft of reputation-tarnishing incidents, including the suspension of Ndamukong Suh.
If you didn't know, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is in the house today.
He didn't say anything controversial during a fan forum here at Ford Field or with reporters, but did make it clear he has a positive opinion of Ndamukong Suh.
Goodell also said he thinks the Lions will be a franchise
