We all remember trying to sneak out of the house as a kid when your parents went to bed so you can go booze or try to get laid, right? Well that was when we were like 14-15-16 but Washington Redskins linebacker Rocky McIntosh is 29 years old and he is still doing it. Apparently McIntosh couldn’t give two ***** about the Skins final game of the season vs the Philadelphia Eagles this past Sunday, instead my man wanted to get out of the team hotel on Saturday and celebrate New Years Eve, instead of being in lockdown for his 11:30 PM curfew. Reports say McIntosh stuffed his bed with pillows and bedsheets to make it seem as if he was sleeping so he could break curfew the night before the game: Besides being late for a team meeting & being inattentive, ESPN 980 was also told by multiple sources that #Redskins LB Rocky McIntosh broke curfew Saturday night in Philly. It was pre-planned, he went so far to make his hotel bed appear as though he was in it/sleeping – by stuffing pillo...

Redskins’ John Beck still not counting himself out

The season didn’t go anything like quarterback John Beck had envisioned. He, like all of his teammates, wishes he could have a do-over. But even though he opened the season as the backup, went winless in three mid-season starts and wound up on the bench again, Beck remains confident that his best football remains ahead of him. Redskins Press Conference Lays Out Plans for Offseason

Washington Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan may have the best offseason start I’ve ever heard of. Besides having members of the Navy and Marines stop by to talk to players this morning, he takes time out to give everyone a chance to breathe after the final game. In fact, it’s a two-week process . “We sit down over the next two weeks and look over the players. No decision is made...

Sean Locklear Criticizes Exit Meetings, Apologizes

Redskins Tackle Sean Locklear took to Twitter to criticize the way the Redskins handled the exit meetings of another disappointing season. He has since deleted the tweet, but according to Deadspin it went like this: “Worst exit meeting ever! No coaches,no front office, just physical’s and goodbye to teammates! We did just spend 5 mos together, WOW!” If the actual...

Gameday Q and A: Niles Paul

In a rather solid Washington Redskins draft class, one of the rookies who has flown under the radar despite significant contributions has been receiver Niles Paul. Drafted in the fifth round out of Nebraska, Paul has made his mark primarily on special teams, where he serves as lead blocker for Brandon Banks on the kick return unit. Paul also is one of the Redskins’ top special...

Redskins: Who’s needed for a successful 2012 season?

The Washington Redskins entered their final game Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles with nothing to lose, and they played that way. At the end of the day, all that mattered was who made the biggest argument for their job for the 2012 season. Who’s necessary for a successful 2012 season-My predictions Roy Helu First of all, anyone who plays hurt, and scores, you have my...

Chris Cooley certain he’ll be back with Redskins

Tight end Chris Cooley played in only five games this season and finished two of the past three seasons on injured reserve. Still, he has no questions about his future in Washington. “I have no doubt that I’ll be here,” he said. “I’m excited to continue to be a part of this team and to continue playing the game that I love.” Read full article >>

Rex Grossman, John Beck and turnovers

“I believe in the guys,” Mike Shanahan said in July, when asked about John Beck and Rex Grossman. “I believe in ‘em. And I’ve been doing this for a long time. And I put my reputation on these guys that they can play.” “I believe in both these quarterbacks,” Mike Shanahan said in November. “And I’ve got to give them the right supporting cast. That’s my job, and...

Mike Shanahan Issues A Challenge To Redskins OT Trent Williams

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan issued a public challenge Monday to left tackle Trent Williams, saying the 2010 first-round draft pick needs to continue his on-field development and demonstrate improved commitment and maturity following his drug-related suspension. Washington selected him fourth overall out of Oklahoma, and Williams this season was picked as one of the team’s offensive...

Darrell Green tweets ‘maybe I could help’ as Redskins secondary coach

Following a 5-11 season, change of some sort is inevitable for most struggling football organizations. If the Redskins tweak their coaching staff this offseason, Hall of Famer Darrell Green has one suggested addition: himself. Shortly after the Redskins’ 34-10 loss at Philadelphia on Sunday, the former Redskins great posted on Twitter and his Facebook page: “I am starting to...

Third Quarter Thoughts

AP Image Following a long touchdown pass to Roy Helu–the first receiving score of his career–the Redskins were right back in the game.  However, if they want to stay in it for the fourth quarter, they have to eliminate the big 15-yard penalties that are consistently pushing them backward.  So far, they have three of them on the afternoon. The first was a penalty on...

Kyle Shanahan says Redskins will be NFC East champions in 2012

“I own it. If you’re going to make a big deal about it, yeah, I’ll stick to it. We are going to win the East.” That was Rex Grossman in August. Of course, instead of winning the East, the Redskins finished in last place in the division for the fourth straight year. So, time to back off the division championship talk? Hellllllll no.
